- Homicide and Missing Persons is a resource for investigations of unidentified human remains, providing guidance and support.
- When dealing with the death of a child under five, sudden unexpected death, suspicious death, or suspected homicide, certain procedures must be followed.
- If an intimate partner is the only witness or present at the scene of a sudden unexpected death, suspicious circumstances must be investigated.
- When a suicide note is found, it must be scanned and attached to the original report and e-transferred to the Office of the Chief Coroner.
- When the deceased cannot be identified, steps must be taken to collect identifying information, including fingerprints, photographs, and dental records.
