Ribosomes
Ribosomes
A non-membranous organelle that contains no enzymes and is involved in protein synthesis.
Hematoxylin
Hematoxylin
A stain used in histology to visualize acidic components (like DNA and RNA) in tissues, staining them blue or purple.
Mitochondria
Mitochondria
The powerhouse of the cell, responsible for generating most of the cell's ATP through cellular respiration.

### Ribosomes
- Ribosomes are non-membranous organelles
- Made up of ribosomal RNA (rRNA) and proteins
- Responsible for protein synthesis
Toluidine Blue
- Toluidine blue is a basic stain
- Used to visualize acidic components, such as nucleic acids (DNA and RNA)
- Turns cells blue due to its affinity for acidic molecules
Mitochondria
- The powerhouse of the cell
- Responsible for producing ATP (adenosine triphosphate) through cellular respiration
- Breaks down glucose to release energy in the form of ATP
Cytoskeleton
- A network of protein filaments
- Provides structural support and shape to the cell
- Involved in intracellular transport and movement of organelles
Melanin
- A pigment found in skin, hair, and eyes
- Responsible for the skin's color
- Produced by melanocytes, cells in the basal layer of the epidermis
- Protects the skin from ultraviolet (UV) radiation
