Health & Safety Requirements
- Scrap and debris must be removed to prevent health and safety hazards.
- Injury or illness reports must be made promptly to the Officer in Charge.
- Medical treatment for work related injury requires authorization from the Officer in Charge.
- Employees must inform the Fire Chief or his designee if unable to return to work due to injury or illness.
Corrective Action Plan & Disciplinary Procedures
- Riverside Fire Authority has the right to take corrective action for performance or behavior problems, rule violations, or policy violations.

Incident Prevention and Safety Program

Company Officer Responsibility
- Company Officers have an ongoing responsibility to promote safe working practices and effective incident control.
- Must instruct members on hazards and how to avoid them.
- Must take steps to maintain safe working conditions, address unsafe conditions, work habits, or practices, and investigate injuries.
- Company Officer must report injuries to the department Chief or his designee.

Safety Committee Membership

Incident Reporting Procedures
- Authority members must report injuries as soon as possible to the Officer in Charge.
- Must obtain authorization from the Chief before seeing a physician for treatment of an on-the-job injury, except in an emergency.
- Failure to report an injury may result in disciplinary action.
Accident/Incident Prevention Program
