Tourism is the act and process of spending time away from home for recreation, relaxation, and pleasure.
It involves the use of commercial services.
Hospitality includes all economic activities that directly or indirectly contribute to or depend upon travel and tourism.
Hospitality is the activity or business of providing services to guests in hotels, restaurants, bars, and other areas where people eat or relax.
Accommodation is the act of providing what is needed or desired for convenience or transfer from one place to another for an important purpose.

Domestic Tourism: Residents travel within their own country.
International Tourism: Travel outside the country of residence; factors like currency, language, and visas are relevant.

Inclusive Tour: Several components (accommodation, fare, food, amenities) are purchased together at one price.
Independent Travel: Components (accommodation, fare, food, amenities) are purchased separately.
Tailor-made Travel: A combination of inclusive and independent travel arrangements.

Leisure and Recreation: Activities like swimming, hiking, and biking are examples.
Study Travel: Educational tourism, including practicum training programs.
Health Tourism / Wellness Tourism: Focuses on health and well-being.
Business and Professional Tourism: Incentive travel, trade fairs, conferences, and corporate events.

Accommodation and Lodging: Providing a place to stay for short- or long-term periods.
Travel Services: Transportation by air, land, or water and related ticket bookings.
Food and Beverage Services: Providing meals and related services like table setting.
Recreation and Entertainment: Offering fun activities and entertainment.
Conventions and Events Management: Organizing activities for large meetings or groups.
Cruises: Large passenger ships for vacations.

Catered Accommodation: Provides guests with food.
Non-catered Accommodation: Food is not included in the package, guests dine out, bring their own food, or rely on food delivery services.
