Study Notes
- All current, commercially available coronary artery stents can be scanned using MRI at either 1.5 or 3 Tesla.
- Immediately after placement, patients with coronary artery stents can undergo MRI.
- The MRI examination must be performed using the following parameters: 1.5 or 3 Tesla, only, with a SAR of 2 W/kg, and using the Normal Operating Mode of operation for the MR system.
- Any deviation from the above MRI conditions requires prior approval by the Radiologist.
