Discovery FFA Degree

Recognizes students in grades 7-8 actively participating in agricultural science classes and FFA.
Membership is chapter-level; not a prerequisite for Greenhand FFA Degree.
Requirements include enrolling in agriculture class, paying dues, participating in chapter activities, and understanding agricultural careers.
Members must submit a written application for the degree.

Greenhand FFA Degree

Awarded to first-year high school students in agricultural science with an established SAE.
Members must learn to explain the FFA Creed, Mission, Motto, and salute.
Required to describe the FFA emblem, colors, and Code of Ethics while demonstrating understanding of organization history.
Written application submission is mandatory for this chapter-level degree.

Chapter FFA Degree

Awarded to members who hold the Greenhand Degree and completed at least two semesters in agricultural science.
Requires operation of an approved SAE program and active involvement in chapter activities.
Members must complete 180 hours of agricultural education, participate in three official activities, and demonstrate leadership in meetings.
Financial investment of at least $150 or 45 hours of work required through SAE, alongside community service hours.

State FFA Degree

Highest degree awarded at the state level, following completion of the Chapter Degree.
Requires two years as an active FFA member and completion of 360 hours of agricultural education with an SAE.
Must demonstrate leadership and involvement in activities beyond the chapter level, completing ten activities in different categories.
Financial criteria include investing $1,000 and working 300 hours, with community service hours cumulative for previous degrees.

American FFA Degree

Top level of membership awarded by the National FFA Organization, representing phenomenal achievement.
Candidates must possess the State FFA Degree, have graduated high school at least a year prior to convention, and display comprehensive SAE management.
Members must maintain records of financial investment and hours worked, meeting criteria of $7,500 earned or specific combinations of hours and investments.
Required to complete 50 hours of community service, ensuring diverse engagement in service activities.
