Study Notes

  • The Ellipses (aka 'all actions button') displays available actions that can be performed on an object and\or document.
  • The pencil icon (which can be controlled by permissions) allows users to edit items (objects, documents, document data, etc) in the page being displayed.
  • The Home tab is the area that Vault typically loads when a user logs in, also called “Vault Home.” From here, users access their assigned tasks, notifications, and active workflows.
  • TMF Homepage provides dashboards to reflect the current state and\or 'health' and readiness of the TMF for a particular trial at the study\country\sites level.
  • TMF Viewer accesses a tool for searching\filtering on documents for a study\country\site that have been uploaded to the TMF in Vault.
  • The Library tab is a tab within the Veeva Vault Clinical Application navigation panel that takes the user to the document library. Library Tab allows viewing, editing, uploading, etc. of documents into the eTMF.
  • The Planning Tab allows quick access planning elements for studies\countries\sites such as Expected Documents, Milestones, and Clinical Tasks.
  • The Risk Management (was de-scoped for this implementation but may be included in the future) allows for viewing\configuring the Risk Management items across studies.
  • Study Management tab provides links to commonly used tools by Study Managers, such as a Study Management Homepage (dashboards for tracking study progress), quick link to the studies page, Milestone and Enrollment Metric tracking, and quick link to the Clinical Tasks page (cross-study).
  • Site Monitoring tab provides links to commonly used features associated with Monitoring of sites\vendors such as a CRA Homepage (dashboard\links to common features used by CRA's), quick link to studies, quick link to all monitoring events \ monitoring follow-up items \ clinical task \ and Site SAE tracking records.
  • Central Monitoring tab provides links to the Central Monitoring Event page (where to create\manage Central Monitoring Events aka Oversite visits as well as creating\managing Site Evaluations that are a part of the Oversite planning.
  • Reports tab - access to create\manage reports for studies.
  • The Vault OOTB report and dashboard area provides quick access to report and dashboard creation, management, and customization.
  • The Issue Management tab provides quick access to create, manage, and view clinical issues.
  • Additional tabs (available via the double-down arrow on the tab bar) include: Study personnel & Communication, Global Directory, Trip Report Template Admin, and Admin setup.
  • The Admin setup tab provides quick access to commonly used pages that are routinely accessed by administrators.
