Course Overview

• Exploring Technology course focuses on Pre-engineering with White Box learning program.
• Students will use various tools, equipment, and materials for project completion.

Supplies Needed

• Required: 2 Pocket folder, composition book, pencils.
• Wishlist items: tissues, popsicle sticks, toothpicks, various tapes, toilet paper rolls, sanitizing wipes, bamboo skewers, plastic and paper cups, aluminum foil, cereal boxes, hot glue sticks, balloons, old newspapers, plastic spoons.

Attendance and Conduct

• Follows school attendance policy; students responsible for missed work.
• Expected behavior includes being respectful and on task.
• Students should be punctual and prepared for class.

Classroom Procedures

• Wait outside if the door is closed; follow posted instructions upon entry.
• Bring all listed materials to class and an independent reading book.
• Cell phone policy requires phones to be out of sight unless permitted.

Leaving Class and Hall Passes

• Restroom trips should occur between classes; only one student out at a time.
• Use sign-out/sign-in sheet when exiting the classroom.

Food and Drink Policy

• Water is allowed, but no food or drinks during class.
• Gum chewing is permitted but must be disposed of properly.

Consequences for Misbehavior

• Possible consequences include teacher conferences, loss of privileges, or administrative referrals.

Grading Structure

• Assessments: 30%, Classwork: 30%, Projects: 40%.
• Late work not accepted after each quarter.
• Grading scale: A (100%-90%), B (89%-80%), C (79%-70%), D (69%-60%), F (59%-0%).
