Paid Time Off (PTO)

- Employees can sell back up to 80 hours of PTO for pay instead of taking time off
Service and Leave
- Employees receive 15 hours of PTO per year
- New employees hired before July 1st can start using their PTO after 6 months
- Employees who call out sick on a paid annual holiday must provide a physician's note or face a 1-day deduction from their PTO
Work Schedules
- Full-time firefighting-EMT positions have a normal tour of duty of 24 hours on, 48 hours off
- Full-time members work 213 days per year, with 152 hours of overtime allowed before being paid overtime
