The Omaha Fire Department (OFD) is responsible for notifying evacuated individuals after an emergency at the Omaha Public Safety Training Center (OPSTC).

In case of fire at the OPSTC, employees are instructed to use the nearest stairway to evacuate, and should avoid using the elevator.

The emergency announcement at the OPSTC includes a clear instruction to evacuate the building and proceed to the nearest stairway.

Employees on the main floor of the OPSTC will evacuate through the front doors during a fire emergency.

Employees in the hallway near the National Guard classrooms at OPSTC will evacuate through the exit door at the north end of the hallway.

Employees downstairs at OPSTC can choose to evacuate through various exits including the 25-yard range doors, the back exit, or the three doors in the apps bay.

All evacuated individuals will gather in the front parking lot of the OPSTC after a fire evacuation.

The highest-ranking officer or employee at the site of a fire emergency is responsible for supervising and assisting during the evacuation.

During a fire emergency, the highest-ranking officer will broadcast an emergency announcement over the building's PA system.

In a fire emergency at a precinct, the highest-ranking officer is responsible for opening the parking lot gates after the emergency announcement.

Evacuated individuals must remain in their designated areas until the all-clear signal is given by the highest-ranking officer and/or OFD.

Once the all-clear is given, employees will either return to their duty posts or be given special instructions by command.

The Air Support Unit has fire alarms located next to all entry/exit doors, in the hangar, and in the office area.

The Air Support Unit has a fire detection system with fire suppression in the building. Fire extinguishers are also located in the hangar and on the back wall.

Evacuation routes in a fire emergency may vary based on the location and circumstances.

In case of fire, individuals in the conference room, gym, locker rooms, and lactation room should evacuate through the south double doors, the north triple doors/main lobby doors, or the east stairwell exit door.

In case of fire, individuals in the Sergeant's Bay or Patrol Briefing Room should evacuate through the northwest double doors, garage, or front door and proceed to the western part of the parking lot.

In case of fire, individuals in the patrol operations area, gang unit area, patrol equipment area, lieutenant offices "A" or "B", co-responder office, interview rooms, or report closet should evacuate through the northwest double doors and proceed to the western part of the parking lot.

In case of fire, individuals in the conference room should evacuate through the southeast door and proceed to the southern part of the parking lot.

The West Precinct maintains fire extinguishers in various locations throughout the building, including the community room kitchenette, main and east hallways, locker rooms, and traffic & SWAT/ERU garages.

The West Precinct has well-defined evacuation routes for different areas, ensuring everyone reaches safety quickly and efficiently. This includes the community room, command/admin area, report room, traffic area, ERU area, and locker rooms.

A pull-station fire alarm is located in the hallway by the offices, and automatic fire alarms are throughout the building. Fire extinguishers are strategically placed in key areas such as the main office, utility room, garage doors, and exit doors.

The Mounted Patrol Barn occupants should exit through the west door in the hallway.

Employees should evacuate through the east door in the garage.

Their top priority is to preserve human lives, but they should also try to save the horses by evacuating them through the south sliding doors in the stall barn area. The keys to the padlocks are located in the grooming stall next to the sliding doors.

The evacuation zone is the ConAgra parking lot across Leavenworth Street.

The Northeast Precinct is equipped with an automated fire alarm system and fire extinguishers in main hallways and equipment rooms.

Occupants in the community room or front lobby should evacuate through the main east exit or the east auxiliary exit.

Any other individuals in the building should evacuate through the main west exit or the west auxiliary exit next to the garage.
