Evacuation Commands
- In safe conditions, use the command "Out of my way!" to assess the exit while shouting "Stand back, hold people back!"
- Open the exit, pull the manual inflation handle, and reassess the conditions outside the aircraft.
- Use the ABP commands: "You lead people away, You two stay at the bottom, pull people off, send them away."
- Shout "Come this way," "Stay Low, Jump," and then "Look out the window, if it's safe open it!"
Special Slide Techniques
- For infants, leave the carrier in the seat and hold the baby in your lap, facing forward.
- Use the sit and scoot method if time allows.
- For non-English speaking customers and parents with more than one child, assign "buddies" to assist.
- For service animals/guide dogs, do not remove the harness, hold them in your lap.
- For customers with disabilities, assign "buddies" to assist, and use the sit and scoot method.
- Move customers by their shoulders, and evacuate non-ambulatory customers and attendants after the main flow of traffic.
