Analyzing and Planning Oral Rehabilitation

Registration of individual articular parameters, such as SCI, Bennett angle, and immediate side shift (ISS), is the first step for analyzing and planning oral rehabilitation.
These parameters are essential for maintaining and restoring functions like mastication, speech, chewing, and esthetics.

Significance of SCI

SCI (Specific Condylar Inclination) is the angle formed between the protrusive condylar path and the Frankfort plane, or another horizontal reference plane.
SCI mostly influences dynamic tooth morphology.
Determining the individual value of SCI ensures better diagnosis, treatment planning, and more accurate prosthetic restorations, saving valuable clinical time.

Methods for Condylar Path Registration

Several clinical, radiological, and instrumental methods have been proposed for condylar path registration.
CBCT (Cone Beam Computed Tomography) is the most accurate and non-invasive method for measuring the curvature of the glenoid fossa.
CBCT scan has the highest rate of reliability for measuring SCG angle.

Findings of the Clinical Study
