Crew Reporting for Duty Check-in Procedures

Check-in Procedures

• Check in with the Captain (if available) and update the FAM with any new revisions, temporary revisions, or bulletins.
• Read "Must Read" memos and comply.
• Attend and participate in the Crew Briefing.

Preflight Duties

• Brief with CSA prior to boarding regarding load factor, coordination of boarding, and any special requirements (e.g., infants, customers with disabilities, LEOs).
• Conduct a Standard Brief, covering Standard Brief items that are SOPs, including:
  • Flight Attendant Manual
  • Compliance
  • Cabin Safety and Security
  • Security Procedures
  • Crew Communication/CRM
  • Emergency Procedures
  • International Operations
  • Tarmac Delay Program
• Assist with A/C tidying and security search (as necessary).
• Stow crew luggage according to the designated areas for each aircraft type (A320, A321, A321NEO).

Crew Luggage Stowage

• A320:
  • "A" stows luggage in OHB FWD of row 5
  • "B" stows luggage in OHB AFT of row 25 or underneath last row of seats
  • "C" stows luggage in OHB FWD of row 5
  • "D" stows luggage in OHB AFT of row 22 or underneath last row of seats
  • "E" stows luggage near Flight Attendant assigned jumpseat
• A321:
  • "A" stows luggage in OHB FWD of row 5
  • "B" stows luggage in OHB AFT of row 36 or underneath last row of seats
  • "C" stows luggage in OHB FWD of row 5
  • "D" stows luggage in OHB AFT of row 36 or underneath last row of seats
  • "E" stows luggage near Flight Attendant assigned jumpseat
• A321NEO:
  • "A" stows luggage in OHB FWD of row 5
  • "B" stows luggage in OHB AFT of row 36 or underneath last row of seats
  • "C" stows luggage in OHB FWD of row 5
  • "D" stows luggage in OHB AFT of row 36 or underneath last row of seats

• Ensure the assigned jumpseat has:
  • Shoulder Harness
  • Lap Belt
  • Seat Pan
  • Headrest
  • Flashlight
  • Life Vest
  • MRT

  • Zone B (AFT) emergency equipment
  • AFT galley equipment, sealed carts, and lavatories
  • Food/beverage AFT galley and drink cart prep

    • Safety Information Cards in every seatback pocket
    • Seat cushions and life vests

    • Check for items that don't belong

Pre-Departure Announcements

• Prepare Doors – Gate Departure:
  • Confirm all doors are armed via the FAP
  • Provide cabin count (number of passengers, infants, and ACMs)
• "All-Call", cont.:
  • Visually verify doors armed
  • Say "All Doors Verified"
• Safety Demonstration (A320, A321, A321NEO):
  • Positioning and Reading Announcements

• Exception for Gate Departure:
  • Occasionally, there may be a return to the gate and/or the jetway may be returned briefly to the entry door
  • CSA begins boarding customers immediately

  • Greet and smile
  • Monitor carry-on items
  • Assist with stowage of carry-on items
  • Monitor overhead bin space
  • Child Restraint Systems (CRS)

  • A321:

    • Exit Row 13 and Mid-Cabin
