- COPD is a progressive lung disease characterized by airflow limitation.
- Smoking is the leading cause, accounting for 15-20% of cases.

COPD Prognosis
- Depending on health, age, and symptoms, individuals with severe COPD stages lose approximately 8-9 years of life expectancy.

COPD Causes
