Automotive Certification Course - Student Manual
- This is a 2024 edition student manual for the Automotive Certification Course, jointly developed by the Automotive Business School of Canada and Georgian College, in collaboration with the Ontario Motor Vehicle Industry Council (OMVIC).
- The manual covers laws, regulations and practices related to the automotive industry in Ontario.
- The manual is divided into 18 chapters featuring review questions, activities, and assignments to help students remember what they've read and apply what they've learned.
- Review questions include multiple choice, true-false and fill-in-the-blank styles.
- The Automotive Certification Test will only contain multiple choice questions.
- Students have 12 weeks to complete the course materials and pass the Automotive Certification Test, with a 75% minimum passing grade.
- Students can choose to complete the test online or in person but only once.
- Enrollment in this course does not automatically register students with OMVIC.
- Upon passing the course, registered dealers and salespeople can use the designation “C.A.L.E. – Certified in Automotive Law and Ethics."
- A certificate, a letter of congratulations, and an industry pin will be given to successful graduates.
