      • 25% in AC III/AC CC class.
    • TB Patient: Concession by Medical Officer of the Government Hospital, Validity- 3 months.

      • 50% in AC-first, AC 2-tier, first-class, & 75% in other classes. Periodical check-up and return journey eligible for concession.
    • Heart Patient, Cancer Patient, Thalassemia, Kidney Transplantation: Medical Officer of Recognized Hospital.

      • Validity: 3 months (cancer- 1 year).
      • 50% in AC first/AC two-tier, 75% in other classes.
    • Allopathic Doctors: Concession granted to MBBS or higher degree holders with proof from Medical Council.

    • Non-infectious Leprosy Patient: Doctor of Government Hospital.

      • Validity: 3 months, 75% in first, sleeper, and second class.
    • Widows of Defense Personnel: Defence Ministry ID card issued

      • 75% in sleeper and second class
    • Deaf and Dumb: Doctor of Government Hospital.

      • Validity: 5 years.
      • 50% concession in first, sleeper, and second class.
    • Students: Concession for school/college students during vacations, to their native place or for exams.

    • Age limits: General(25 years), SC/ST(27 years), Research Scholar (35 years)

    • Certificate issued by Principal or Head Master.

    • Concession for Outward journey - 14 days and 120 days for return journeys

    • Senior Citizens: Male (60 years+) and Female (58 years+) -40% concession in all classes to male. -50% concession in all classes to female.

    • Scouts and Guides: At least 4 members travelling over 300 km; Certificate.

      • 50% concession in sleeper and second class
    • Farmers: Farmers travelling in groups of 20 or more for agricultural exhibitions, National Projects, Industrial, and Agricultural Exhibitions. -25% concession in sleeper and second class. -33% concession in case of full train booking by farmers

    • Sportspersons: Participation in sports events (International/National/State level).

      • 75% in first, sleeper, second class (international). -75% in sleeper, second. (National)

    • National Bravery Award Recipient Children: Children awarded bravery.

    • Free Sleeper or 2nd-class travel (under 18)

    • 50% concession with guardian.

    • Teachers awarded on Teachers' day: 50% concession in sleeper and second class;

      • valid ID card issued by District Education officer
    • Unemployed Youth: Up to 35 years, attending personal interviews; travel expenses borne by candidate.

    • Press Correspondents: Valid identity card, valid for 2 years.

      • 50% in all train classes. (Exception- Garib Rath, Duranto, Yuva Trains, Season Ticket)
    • Technicians of Regional Film Industry: Except Duronto, Yuva, Garibrath Express; Not applicable for AC-I Class, season tickets, circular/suburban tickets.

    • 50% in first class, AC-II, AC-III, AC chair car and 75% in Sleeper Class

    • Midwives/Trained Nurses: Nurses/midwives undergoing training or on duty; Certificate from Civil Surgeon/Principal of Govt. Hospital.

    • Farmers/Milk Producers: Visiting National level dairy institutions for training.

      • 30% in 2nd class
