Children awarded the National Bravery Award on Republic Day can travel free in Sleeper/IInd Class until they turn 18 years old.

Farmers, milk producers, and students can avail various concessions on train fares for specific purposes related to their professions or education.

A person diagnosed as deaf and dumb by a Doctor of Government Hospital is eligible for a 50% discount in all classes. They need to present a copy of the certificate while traveling. The validity of the certificate is 5 years.

Students up to the age of 25 years (General Category) or 27 years (SC/ST Category) can avail the concession. Research scholars up to 35 years are also eligible. A certificate signed by the school principal or headmaster is needed.

Schools or colleges can obtain a Student Concession Order book from the Divisional Commercial Manager. To do this, they need to submit an application along with six specimen signatures of the Principal or Headmaster.

Students travelling to their native place or from examination centers can avail a concession. This concession is offered during school vacations.

A certificate issued by the Principal or Head Master is required to avail the student concession. This certificate confirms the student's eligibility for discounted travel fares.

A dedicated Student Concession Order book is provided to the Principal or Head Master by the Divisional Commercial Manager. This book contains details of the student's concession eligibility.
