Badminton Rules

  • Net Height: 5 feet

  • Match Win: Two out of three games

  • Scoring: First team to 21 points, winning by two points.

  • Point Win per serve: One point per serve

  • Serve Rules:

    • Underarm serve, below waist height
    • Diagonal serve across the court
    • Serve from right side for even points, left side for odd.
    • Server must call out score.
  • Rally End:

    • Birdie hits the floor.
    • Birdie goes outside the court lines.
    • Birdie does not go over the net
  • Let Serves:

    • If a serve hits the net on the first attempt, the server gets another attempt.
    • If the serve hits the net on the second attempt, the other team receives a point.
  • Missed Serves:

    • If the server misses the birdie completely on their first attempt, they get one more chance.
    • If they miss the second attempt, the other team receives a point.
  • Serving Order:

    • The team who wins a point serves next.
  • Net Contact: If any player touches the net with racket or body, the opposing team receives a point.

  • Birdie in Net: If a team hits the birdie into the net during a rally and still goes over the net the other team must return it.
