    GCAA Regulations

    • The International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) was formed as a result of the Chicago Convention.
    • Annex 1 of ICAO contains the recommendations for Personnel Licensing.
    • EASA (European Aviation Safety Agency) is an agency of the EU with legal regulatory authority.

    GCAA Establishment

    • The General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) was established in the UAE as a general authority for the execution of civil aviation law by Federal Law No. 4 in 1996.

    UAE Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s Licensing

    • The requirements for the UAE Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s Licensing are specified in Part V, Chapter 3 of the Civil Aviation Regulations.
