Danava Dynasty
- Mahiranga Danava was the only known ruler.

Varman Dynasty
- Founded by Pushya Varman (350-380 AD).
- Notable ruler Samudragupta held the title Maharajadhiraj.
- Mahendra Varman (450-480 AD) was the 1st king of Kamrupa and engaged in a successful war against the Guptas.
- Bhaskar Varman (594-650 AD) marked the height of Kamrupa's power with a circumference of 1700 miles, known as the last king with significant impact.
Pala Dynasty
- Brahmapala (970-990 AD) was the dynasty's founder, known for his significant contributions.
