حمد الله
- Says رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: "الحمد لله تملأ الميزان" (-Muslim)
- According to ابن القيم رضي الله عنه, saying "الحمد لله" is a greater blessing than being given the entire world, as it leads to eternal reward.
مفهوم الحمد
- الحمد له ثلاثة أجزاء حسب ابن عثيمين رضي الله عنه:
- وصف المحمود بالكمال مع المحبة والتعظيم
- describes the one being praised with perfection
- accompanied with love and acknowledging greatness
استحقاق الحمد
- According to ابن القيم رضي الله عنه, Allah SWT deserves worship because He alone is perfect in His nature, attributes, actions, speech, commands, and prohibitions.
- فااله الحمد في الأولى والاخرة – So for Allah belongs praise in the beginning and in the end – in the dunya and in the akhira.
