Emergency Equipment Pre-flight Check

  • The T.O.S.S. acronym stands for: Is it there?, Is it operational?, Is it sealed?, Is it secured?
  • Flight Attendant Jumpseat: one per working Flight Attendant, with a seatbelt/shoulder harness that is not frayed, torn, or in disrepair, automatically retractable, and with a buckle that fastens and unfastens.

Flight Attendant Jumpseat Headrest Compartment

  • Compartment must be empty, with no stowage allowed, and a "No Stowage" placard present.
  • Latches must be intact and hold the headrest compartment door closed.

Flashlights

  • Flashlight LED Flashlight: used in evacuations or power failures only, with 4 hours of continuous use.
  • Secured in a bracket, with a red flashing light, and a green flash when the button is pressed to test.
  • Located under each FA jumpseat in 320/321/321NEO aircraft.

Crew Life Vest
