Survival Kit

• Every Slide/Raft is equipped with critical survival and signaling equipment.
• Kit contents include:
• Canopy
• 4 Canopy Rods and 1 Mast (Mast is a 4-piece set of poles)
• Utility Kit

• Manual Inflation Raft Pump
• Instruction Manual

HAFEX Halon-free Fire Extinguisher

• Pre-flight check:
• Gauge in the green
• Location and quantity:
• A320: 3 units (2 FWD OHB, A/C Left, 1 AFT OHB, A/C Left)
• A321: 4 units (2 FWD OHB, A/C Left, 1 AFT OHB, A/C Left, 1 2R OHB, A/C Right)
• A321NEO: 5 units (2 FWD OHB, A/C Left, 2 AFT OHB, A/C Left, 1 2R OHB, A/C Right)

First-Aid Kits and Emergency Medical Kit

• Automated External Defibrillator (AED):
• Location: AFT OHB, A/C Right
• Battery status indicator: black hourglass or green light
• Secured in a bracket with a pin
• Can be used by Flight Attendants or trained personnel
• Emergency Medical Kit (EMK):
• Location: AFT OHB, A/C Right
• Sealed with a tamper-evident seal (green, yellow, or red)
• Secured in bracket with a pin

Infant Life Vest

• Quantity: 15
• Location: AFT OHB, A/C Left
• Stored in a plastic bag and secured in a brown burlap bag(s)

Life Raft

• A320: 1 unit, located in AFT OHB, A/C Left
• A321: 2 units, located in 2R OHB, A/C Right, and 3L OHB, A/C Left
• A321NEO: 1 unit, located in OWE OHB, A/C Right
• Secured with belts and attached to window seat and middle seatbelt

Extended Tarmac Delay Kit (EDK)

• Containing 240 packages of Biscoff cookies
• Location: AFT OHB, A/C Right
• For use only during TDP and not authorized for use at any other time

Megaphone

• Used in evacuation or if the PA becomes INOP
• 30 minutes of continuous use
• 50 feet range
• Location: 2 units, one in FWD OHB, A/C Left, and one in AFT OHB, A/C Right
• Secured in a bracket

Emergency Equipment Pre-flight Check

• During the pre-flight check, if a piece of emergency equipment is found to be deficient (missing/broken), it is critical to notify the Flight Deck immediately and document it on the Cabin Condition Report.
• The Cabin Condition Report should be written legibly.

A320 Emergency Equipment Locations

• Under each FA jumpseat, there is an emergency equipment location.
• The FWD OHB A/C Right and Left, as well as the AFT OHB A/C Right and Left, have emergency equipment locations.
• The Lavatories also have emergency equipment locations.

Pre-flight Check for A320, A321, and A321NEO

• The A320 cabin is divided into four main areas for conducting the emergency equipment pre-flight check.
• Each Flight Attendant is responsible for one area.
• The A321 cabin is divided into five main areas for conducting the emergency equipment pre-flight check.
• Each Flight Attendant is responsible for one zone.
• The A321NEO cabin is divided into five zones for conducting the emergency equipment pre-flight check.
• Each Flight Attendant is responsible for one zone.

Pre-flight Check for A320

• FA “C” and “D” are responsible for assigned jumpseats, cabin safety information cards, and customer life vests.
• FA “D” is also responsible for pre-flighting the life raft.
• The cabin seatbacks should be free of trash, and all seats should have a safety information card.
• The seatbacks should be in an upright position, and the tray tables should be stowed and locked.
• The OHBs should be open and empty.

General Safety Checks: Lavatory

• The lavatory should be checked for items that don’t belong.
• Nothing should be stowed under the sink, as it is a fire hazard.
• The toilet and water systems should be functioning, and the trash flaps should be secured.

Emergency Equipment Pre-flight Check

• The pre-flight check should include checking if the equipment is there, operational, and sealed.
• The wheelchair should be secured with two red belts, one attached to the window seat and the other to the middle seatbelt.

Extended Tarmac Delay Kit (EDK)

• Each aircraft is equipped with one EDK box containing 240 packages of Biscoff cookies.
• The EDK box is located in the AFT OHB A/C Right.
• These snacks are specifically provisioned for the TDP and are not authorized for use at any other time.

Megaphone

• The megaphone is used in an evacuation or if the PA becomes inoperable.
• It has a 30-minute continuous use and a 50-foot range.
• There are two megaphones located in the FWD OHB, A/C Left and AFT OHB, A/C Right.

Emergency Medical Kit (EMK)

• The EMK is located in the AFT OHB, A/C Right.
• It is sealed with a tamper-evident seal and secured in a bracket with a pin.

AED – Automated External Defibrillator

• The AED is located in the AFT OHB, A/C Right.
• It is used to assess a patient’s heart rhythm and administer an electrical shock if necessary.
• The AED can be used by Flight Attendants or trained personnel.

Infant Life Vest

• There are 15 infant life vests located in the AFT OHB, A/C Left.
• They are stored in a plastic bag and secured in a brown burlap bag.

Life Raft A320/A321/A321NEO

• The life raft is located in the AFT OHB, A/C Left for the A320 and A321.
• For the A321NEO, the life raft is located in the OWE OHB, A/C Right.
• The life raft is secured with belts.

Survival Kit

• The survival kit is located in the FWD OHB, A/C Right and AFT OHB, A/C Right.
• It contains critical survival and signaling equipment.
• The survival kit is sealed with a tamper-evident security seal.
