CS_ICT11/12-ICTPT-Ic-d-4 At the end of this lesson, the students should be able to: 1. use some advanced capabilities of Microsoft Word commonly used to increase productivity and efficiency; 2. effectively use these features to help improve the productivity of an organization through maximizing the potential of MS Word; 3. create form letters or documents for distribution to various recipients; 4. create labels and envelops for distribution; and 5. create media-rich documents for printing or publishing. Embedding Images. 2. Mail Merging. 3. Generating Labels. How to Embed/Insert Images 1. Use the INSERT TAB. 2. Use the COPY & PASTE Commands. 3. Use the DRAG & DROP Functions. How to Embed/Insert Images: INSERT TAB 1 4 1. Click the INSERT tab. 3. Browse for your picture. 2. Click the PICTURES Command. 4. Click the INSERT Button. Type the needed information per entry. Press TAB on the keyboard for a new entry. To delete, click the GRAY box besides the entry, press DELETE on the keyboard. 3. Once completed, click OK. 4. SAVE the list in your folder. 1 3 How to use MAIL MERGE (Existing List) 3 1 4 1. Browse the EXCEL Document of your list. 2. Click OPEN. 3. Select the desired table. 2 4. Click OK. Click OPTIONS. 2 How to Generate Labels 3. Choose the desired Label 3 Vendors. 4. Click 30 per 4 Page. 5 5. Click OK. How to Generate Labels 6. Enter text of the Label on the text box. 6 7. Click NEW DOCUMUNENT to finalize the labels. 7
