Induction and refresher training on cultural consideration awareness for all new and returning staff. 2. Vetting and reviewing and selecting teaching and learning resources 3. School shall adhere to: singing the UAE national anthem daily, observing official public holidays, national celebrations and following flag protocols and portraits as per the positions of their Highness’ pictures. Ensure that the only flag raised in schools is that of the UAE and the portraits of the UAE leaders 4. Monitoring all the school’s channels of communication to ensure the school’s compliance with this policy 5. Response mechanism for the non-compliance- reporting and responding to any breaches of this policy in school 14 ‫ﻣﺘﻄﻠﺒﺎت اﻟﻤﺪرﺳﺔ اﻟﺘﻲ ﻳﺠﺐ أن ﺗﻜﻮن ﻓﻲ ﻣﻜﺎﻧﻬﺎ‬ ‫ﻓﻴﻤﺎ ﻳﺘﻌﻠﻖ ﺑﺎﻻﻋﺘﺒﺎرات اﻟﺜﻘﺎﻓﻴﺔ‪:‬‬ ‫اﻟﺘﺪرﻳﺐ اﻟﺘﻌﺮﻳﻔﻲ واﻟﺘﺤﻔﻴﺰي ﻋﻠﻰ اﻟﻮﻋﻲ ﺑﺎﻻﻋﺘﺒﺎرات اﻟﺜﻘﺎﻓﻴﺔ ﻟﺠﻤﻴﻊ اﻟﻤﻮﻇﻔﻴﻦ اﻟﺠﺪد‬ ‫‪.1‬‬ ‫واﻟﻌﺎﺋﺪﻳﻦ‪.‬‬ ‫ﻓﺤﺺ وﻣﺮاﺟﻌﺔ واﺧﺘﻴﺎر ﻣﺼﺎدر اﻟﺘﻌﻠﻴﻢ واﻟﺘﻌﻠﻢ‬‫‪.2‬‬ ‫ﺗﻠﺘﺰم اﻟﻤﺪرﺳﺔ ﺑﻤﺎ ﻳﻠﻲ‪ :‬ﺗﺮدﻳﺪ اﻟﻨﺸﻴﺪ اﻟﻮﻃﻨﻲ ﻟﺪوﻟﺔ اﻹﻣﺎرات اﻟﻌﺮﺑﻴﺔ اﻟﻤﺘﺤﺪة ﻳﻮﻣﻴﺎ ‪،‬‬ ‫‪.3‬‬ ‫وﻣﺮاﻋﺎة اﻟﻌﻄﻼت اﻟﺮﺳﻤﻴﺔ ‪ ،‬واﻻﺣﺘﻔﺎﻻت اﻟﻮﻃﻨﻴﺔ ‪ ،‬واﺗﺒﺎع ﺑﺮوﺗﻮﻛﻮﻻت اﻟﻌﻠﻢ واﻟﺼﻮر‬ ‫اﻟﺸﺨﺼﻴﺔ ﺣﺴﺐ ﻣﻮاﻗﻒ ﺻﻮر ﺳﻤﻮﻫﻢ‪.‬اﻟﺘﺄﻛﺪ ﻣﻦ أن اﻟﻌﻠﻢ اﻟﻮﺣﻴﺪ اﻟﻤﺮﻓﻮع ﻓﻲ‬ ‫اﻟﻤﺪارس ﻫﻮ ﻋﻠﻢ دوﻟﺔ اﻹﻣﺎرات اﻟﻌﺮﺑﻴﺔ اﻟﻤﺘﺤﺪة وﺻﻮر ﻗﺎدة دوﻟﺔ اﻹﻣﺎرات اﻟﻌﺮﺑﻴﺔ‬ ‫اﻟﻤﺘﺤﺪة‬ ‫ﻣﺮاﻗﺒﺔ ﺟﻤﻴﻊ ﻗﻨﻮات اﻻﺗﺼﺎل اﻟﺨﺎﺻﺔ ﺑﺎﻟﻤﺪرﺳﺔ ﻟﻀﻤﺎن اﻣﺘﺜﺎل اﻟﻤﺪرﺳﺔ ﻟﻬﺬه‬ ‫‪.4‬‬ ‫اﻟﺴﻴﺎﺳﺔ‬ ‫آﻟﻴﺔ اﻻﺳﺘﺠﺎﺑﺔ ﻟﻌﺪم اﻻﻣﺘﺜﺎل ‪ -‬اﻹﺑﻼغ واﻻﺳﺘﺠﺎﺑﺔ ﻷي اﻧﺘﻬﺎﻛﺎت ﻟﻬﺬه اﻟﺴﻴﺎﺳﺔ ﻓﻲ‬ ‫‪.5‬‬ ‫اﻟﻤﺪرﺳﺔ‬ ‫‪15‬‬ Community Conduct ‫اﻟﺴﻠﻮك اﻟﻤﺠﺘﻤﻌﻲ‬ 16 Members of the school community shall conduct themselves in ways that are mindful of cultural consideration: 1. Respecting the UAE’s cultural and social norms, values, and traditions 2. Refraining from promoting inappropriate stereotypes, preconceptions, and assumptions about the UAE and the region 3. Refraining from encouraging any behavior, practice, or displays that are culturally inconsiderate, such as drug and alcohol use, smoking, violence, promoting alternative gender identity and sexual orientation 17 ‫ﻳﺠﺐ ﻋﻠﻰ أﻋﻀﺎء اﻟﻤﺠﺘﻤﻊ اﻟﻤﺪرﺳﻲ أن ﻳﺘﺼﺮﻓﻮا‬ ‫ﺑﻄﺮق ﺗﺮاﻋﻲ اﻻﻋﺘﺒﺎرات اﻟﺜﻘﺎﻓﻴﺔ‪:‬‬ ‫اﺣﺘﺮام اﻷﻋﺮاف واﻟﻘﻴﻢ واﻟﺘﻘﺎﻟﻴﺪ اﻟﺜﻘﺎﻓﻴﺔ واﻻﺟﺘﻤﺎﻋﻴﺔ ﻟﺪوﻟﺔ اﻹﻣﺎرات‬ ‫‪.1‬‬ ‫اﻟﻌﺮﺑﻴﺔ اﻟﻤﺘﺤﺪة‬ ‫اﻻﻣﺘﻨﺎع ﻋﻦ اﻟﺘﺮوﻳﺞ ﻟﻠﺼﻮر اﻟﻨﻤﻄﻴﺔ ﻏﻴﺮ اﻟﻤﻼﺋﻤﺔ واﻷﻓﻜﺎر اﻟﻤﺴﺒﻘﺔ‬ ‫‪.2‬‬ ‫واﻻﻓﺘﺮاﺿﺎت ﺣﻮل دوﻟﺔ اﻹﻣﺎرات اﻟﻌﺮﺑﻴﺔ اﻟﻤﺘﺤﺪة واﻟﻤﻨﻄﻘﺔ‬ ‫اﻻﻣﺘﻨﺎع ﻋﻦ ﺗﺸﺠﻴﻊ أي ﺳﻠﻮك أو ﻣﻤﺎرﺳﺔ أو ﻋﺮوض ﻏﻴﺮ ﻣﺮاﻋﻴﺔ‬ ‫‪.3‬‬ ‫ﺛﻘﺎﻓﻴﺎ ‪ ،‬ﻣﺜﻞ ﺗﻌﺎﻃﻲ اﻟﻤﺨﺪرات واﻟﻜﺤﻮل واﻟﺘﺪﺧﻴﻦ واﻟﻌﻨﻒ وﺗﻌﺰﻳﺰ‬ ‫اﻟﻬﻮﻳﺔ اﻟﺠﻨﺴﻴﺔ اﻟﺒﺪﻳﻠﺔ واﻟﺘﻮﺟﻪ اﻟﺠﻨﺴﻲ‬ ‫‪18‬‬ Members of the school community shall conduct themselves in ways that are mindful of cultural consideration: 4. Refraining from using symbols, colors or imagery associated with any movement/beliefs related to political, social, or extremist religious groups which are culturally inconsiderate 5. Refraining from conducting any activities and/or using any content that leads to the introduction and promotion of religious extremism, racism, bullying and all other forms of discrimination 19 ‫ﻳﺠﺐ ﻋﻠﻰ أﻋﻀﺎء اﻟﻤﺠﺘﻤﻊ اﻟﻤﺪرﺳﻲ أن ﻳﺘﺼﺮﻓﻮا‬ ‫ﺑﻄﺮق ﺗﺮاﻋﻲ اﻻﻋﺘﺒﺎرات اﻟﺜﻘﺎﻓﻴﺔ‪:‬‬ ‫‪.4‬اﻻﻣﺘﻨﺎع ﻋﻦ اﺳﺘﺨﺪام اﻟﺮﻣﻮز أو اﻷﻟﻮان أو اﻟﺼﻮر اﻟﻤﺮﺗﺒﻄﺔ ﺑﺄي ﺣﺮﻛﺔ ‪/‬‬ ‫ﻣﻌﺘﻘﺪات ﺗﺘﻌﻠﻖ ﺑﺎﻟﺠﻤﺎﻋﺎت اﻟﺴﻴﺎﺳﻴﺔ أو اﻻﺟﺘﻤﺎﻋﻴﺔ أو اﻟﺪﻳﻨﻴﺔ‬ ‫اﻟﻤﺘﻄﺮﻓﺔ اﻟﺘﻲ ﻻ ﺗﺮاﻋﻲ ﺛﻘﺎﻓﻴﺎ‬ ‫‪.5‬اﻻﻣﺘﻨﺎع ﻋﻦ اﻟﻘﻴﺎم ﺑﺄي أﻧﺸﻄﺔ و ‪ /‬أو اﺳﺘﺨﺪام أي ﻣﺤﺘﻮى ﻳﺆدي إﻟﻰ‬ ‫إدﺧﺎل وﺗﻌﺰﻳﺰ اﻟﺘﻄﺮف اﻟﺪﻳﻨﻲ واﻟﻌﻨﺼﺮﻳﺔ واﻟﺒﻠﻄﺠﺔ وﺟﻤﻴﻊ أﺷﻜﺎل‬ ‫اﻟﺘﻤﻴﻴﺰ اﻷﺧﺮى‬ ‫‪20‬‬ Members of the school community shall conduct themselves in ways that are mindful of cultural consideration: 6. Refraining from holding rallies, demonstrations, and protests on school premises or while holding a school-related event offsite 7. Ensuring that one’s appearance is culturally considerate. a. Covering of visible tattoos and any type of piercings for men and women b. Appropriate clothing in line with the school’s dress code 21 ‫ﻳﺠﺐ ﻋﻠﻰ أﻋﻀﺎء اﻟﻤﺠﺘﻤﻊ اﻟﻤﺪرﺳﻲ أن ﻳﺘﺼﺮﻓﻮا‬ ‫ﺑﻄﺮق ﺗﺮاﻋﻲ اﻻﻋﺘﺒﺎرات اﻟﺜﻘﺎﻓﻴﺔ‪:‬‬ ‫‪.6‬اﻻﻣﺘﻨﺎع ﻋﻦ ﻋﻘﺪ ﻣﺴﻴﺮات وﻣﻈﺎﻫﺮات واﺣﺘﺠﺎﺟﺎت ﻓﻲ ﻣﺒﺎﻧﻲ اﻟﻤﺪرﺳﺔ‬ ‫أو أﺛﻨﺎء ﻋﻘﺪ ﺣﺪث ﻣﺘﻌﻠﻖ ﺑﺎﻟﻤﺪرﺳﺔ داﺧﻞ‪ /‬ﺧﺎرج اﻟﻤﻮﻗﻊ‪.‬‬ ‫‪.7‬اﻟﺘﺄﻛﺪ ﻣﻦ أن ﻣﻈﻬﺮ اﻟﻤﺮء ﻳﺘﻨﺎﺳﺐ ﻣﻊ اﻻﻋﺘﺒﺎرات اﻟﺜﻘﺎﻓﻴﺔ‪:‬‬ ‫أ‪.‬ﺗﻐﻄﻴﺔ اﻟﻮﺷﻢ اﻟﻤﺮﺋﻲ وأي ﻧﻮع ﻣﻦ اﻟﺜﻘﻮب ﻟﻠﺮﺟﺎل واﻟﻨﺴﺎء‬ ‫ب‪.‬ﻣﻼﺑﺲ ﻣﻨﺎﺳﺒﺔ ﺗﺘﻤﺎﺷﻰ ﻣﻊ ﻗﻮاﻋﺪ اﻟﻠﺒﺎس ﻓﻲ اﻟﻤﺪرﺳﺔ‬ ‫‪22‬‬ Members of the school community shall conduct themselves in ways that are mindful of cultural consideration: 8. Ensuring the appropriateness of the all school-organized events and celebrations to UAE culture, in adherence with this policy 9. Adhering to the laws of the UAE by conducting themselves accordingly 23 ‫ﻳﺠﺐ ﻋﻠﻰ أﻋﻀﺎء اﻟﻤﺠﺘﻤﻊ اﻟﻤﺪرﺳﻲ أن ﻳﺘﺼﺮﻓﻮا‬ ‫ﺑﻄﺮق ﺗﺮاﻋﻲ اﻻﻋﺘﺒﺎرات اﻟﺜﻘﺎﻓﻴﺔ‪:‬‬ ‫‪.8‬اﻟﺘﺄﻛﺪ ﻣﻦ ﻣﻼءﻣﺔ ﺟﻤﻴﻊ اﻟﻔﻌﺎﻟﻴﺎت واﻻﺣﺘﻔﺎﻻت اﻟﺘﻲ ﺗﻨﻈﻤﻬﺎ‬ ‫اﻟﻤﺪرﺳﺔ ﻟﺜﻘﺎﻓﺔ دوﻟﺔ اﻹﻣﺎرات اﻟﻌﺮﺑﻴﺔ اﻟﻤﺘﺤﺪة‪ ،‬ﺑﻤﺎ ﻳﺘﻮاﻓﻖ ﻣﻊ‬ ‫ﻫﺬه اﻟﺴﻴﺎﺳﺔ‬ ‫‪.9‬اﻻﻟﺘﺰام ﺑﻘﻮاﻧﻴﻦ دوﻟﺔ اﻹﻣﺎرات اﻟﻌﺮﺑﻴﺔ اﻟﻤﺘﺤﺪة ﻣﻦ ﺧﻼل اﻟﺘﺼﺮف‬ ‫وﻓﻘﺎ ﻟﺬﻟﻚ‬ ‫‪24‬‬ Learning Resources and Activities ‫ﻣﺼﺎدر وأﻧﺸﻄﺔ اﻟﺘﻌﻠﻢ‬ 25 Schools are required to establish a Resource Selection Committee to ensure all resources are vetted to check: 1. The suitability and appropriateness of the teaching and learning resources 2. If the topic is related to biological reproduction, human evolution or sex education, schools shall inform parents in advance of the lesson and allow parents to excuse their child 2. If the approved curriculum includes topics relating to revolution, wars or violent conflicts, schools will ensure that the required content is discussed and handled in the right formal educational context and presented objectively. 29 ‫ﻳﺘﻌﻴﻦ ﻋﻠﻰ اﻟﻤﺪارس اﻟﺘﺄﻛﺪ ﻣﻤﺎ ﻳﻠﻲ ﻋﻨﺪ ﻣﻌﺎﻟﺠﺔ‬ ‫اﻟﻤﻮﺿﻮﻋﺎت اﻟﺘﻲ ﻳﺤﺘﻤﻞ أن ﺗﻜﻮن ﻣﺜﻴﺮة ﻟﻠﺠﺪل‪:‬‬ ‫‪.1‬إذا ﻛﺎن اﻟﻤﻮﺿﻮع ﻣﺘﻌﻠﻘﺎ ﺑﺎﻟﺘﻜﺎﺛﺮ اﻟﺒﻴﻮﻟﻮﺟﻲ أو اﻟﺘﻄﻮر اﻟﺒﺸﺮي أو اﻟﺘﺮﺑﻴﺔ‬ ‫اﻟﺠﻨﺴﻴﺔ ‪ ،‬ﻓﻴﺠﺐ ﻋﻠﻰ اﻟﻤﺪارس إﺑﻼغ أوﻟﻴﺎء اﻷﻣﻮر ﻣﺴﺒﻘﺎ ﺑﺎﻟﺪرس‬ ‫واﻟﺴﻤﺎح ﻟﻶﺑﺎء ﺑﺈﻋﻔﺎء أﻃﻔﺎﻟﻬﻢ‬ ‫‪.2‬إذا ﻛﺎن اﻟﻤﻨﻬﺞ اﻟﻤﻌﺘﻤﺪ ﻳﺘﻀﻤﻦ ﻣﻮﺿﻮﻋﺎت ﺗﺘﻌﻠﻖ ﺑﺎﻟﺜﻮرة أو اﻟﺤﺮوب أو‬ ‫اﻟﻨﺰاﻋﺎت اﻟﻌﻨﻴﻔﺔ ‪ ،‬ﺳﺘﻜﻮن اﻟﻤﺪرﺳﺔ ﺣﺮﻳﺼﺔ ﻋﻠﻰ ﻣﻨﺎﻗﺸﺔ اﻟﻤﺤﺘﻮى‬ ‫اﻟﻤﻄﻠﻮب واﻟﺘﻌﺎﻣﻞ ﻣﻌﻪ ﻓﻲ اﻟﺴﻴﺎق اﻟﺘﻌﻠﻴﻤﻲ اﻟﺮﺳﻤﻲ اﻟﺼﺤﻴﺢ وﺗﻘﺪﻳﻤﻪ‬ ‫ﺑﻤﻮﺿﻮﻋﻴﺔ‪.‬‬ ‫‪30‬‬ Schools are required to ensure the following when addressing potentially controversial topics: 3.
