Be sure to give no more than I ventilation every 10 seconds. Assess blood sugar. Tilt head of Pt 30 degrees upright to preserve neurologic al function during CPR. PROCE DURE EMT-B EMT-I EMT-P so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so • Assure & maintain a patent aiiway • Ventilate whh J 00% Oxygen • Initiate CPR. If indicated 1 • Apply Cardiac monitor/ Defib pads • Apply Lucas 3 • Obtain Blood glucose • Obtain JV • ECG SO SO • Intubate SO • Follow treatment algorithm SO • ETCO2 ( capnometr y) '-Interruptions to CPR should not exceed 10 seconds throughou t arrest. -The Lucas 3 is the preferred method of administer ing CPR.
