Constituents of blood! Not so much focused on the heart and vessels (this would be studied in the cardiovascular module) While the cardiovascular system and haematological system go hand-in-hand, they can be studied separately for clarification purposes 8% of total body BLOOD weight ~ 5 litres in The fluid that flows within our females, 5.5 in males blood vessels, and functions to pH = 7.35 to 7.45 transport O₂ and nutrients to cells and tissues around the body, and pick up waste and CO₂ for excretion (kidney, digestive system, and lungs) And… NB for hormones, immunity, haemostasis (blood clotting), temperature regulation, BLOOD – Why do we need it?
