In so doing: 2yrs in AM Short intro course on AM; and Certified Implements domain-specific tasks “Core” version of CAMA (or adjusted Technical Coordinates as a member of the AM team SCPP^) Specialist in AM Objectives of the Global Certification Scheme (GCS) ……..the GCS extends CAMA within a broader set of certifications that apply to Practitioners and Advisors in AM – as follows, to: ❑ Promote broad recognition of the value of AM professionals ❑ Promote ownership and pursuit of AM by individuals as a profession ❑ Attract & retain competent people in the AM profession, at all levels ❑ Promote career advancement, global transportability and augmentation of other professions in the field of AM ❑ Facilitate transferability across industries and countries ❑ Specify minimum AM competency for typical AM roles ❑ Recognise skills and knowledge achieved via different pathways and operational environments Initial focus was on core designations of CSAM, CPAM and CTAM …….and now extended to additional roles GCS Requirement Principles ❑ Central theme: successful AM is founded on effective TEAMWORK (“AM: Coordinated activity of an organization to realise value from assets” (ISO 55001)) Candidates must therefore: ❑ Not only perform their own specific role in a competent manner (that are the subject of other industry / professional certifications) …..they must also: ❑ Have a keen awareness and appreciation of the fit of these endeavors with those performed collectively in line with the organisation’s AM Framework, operationally, tactically and strategically ……; and ❑ Demonstrate active participation in the assembly, maintenance and implementation of the integrated AM Framework (as applicable to their role) ❖ Requirements: demonstrated …… knowledge (Domain, integration), experience in understanding of the relevant contexts (country, industry, organization, AM) and skill in successful application (on a significant portfolio / area of the business) Other Guiding Principles ❑ CSAMs and CPAMs – will generally be practitioners in asset-intensive organisations, though the certification also includes external “advisors” / Domain experts / consultants at the respective levels ❑ Alternative certification routes may be accommodated – though require longer work experience;
