He went to a stream to drink water. He saw his reflection in the stream. He admired his beautiful horns but disliked his thin ugly legs. All of a sudden, he saw a pack of hounds. They were running towards him. He ran into the jungle. His fast legs carried him far from the hounds. There was a bush on his way. He wanted to cross it. His horns were caught in it. He tried hard to free himself, but all in vain. In the meantime, the hounds reached there and tore him into pieces. **Moral** - All that glitters is not gold. ### The Woodcutter and the Axe There was a poor woodcutter. He earned his livelihood by selling wood. One day he went to a stream. There was a dry tree on its bank. He climbed up and began to cut the branch of the tree. Suddenly the axe slipped away from this hand. It fell into the stream. He came down and began to weep. Hearing him cry, a fairy appeared and said "Why are you weeping?" "My axe has fallen into the water." replied the woodcutter. The fairy jumped into the water and brought a golden axe. She said to the woodcutter "Is it yours?" "No, it's not mine." replied the poor man. The fairy jumped again and brought a silver axe. She asked the woodcutter if it was his. The woodcutter replied in negative. The fairy again jumped into the water and brought the real axe. Seeing it, the woodcutter cried out, "It's mine?" The fairy was pleased with his honesty. She gave him all the three axes as a reward of his honesty. **Moral** - Honesty is the best policy.
