4 1 0 1 3 CT, Mammography, Interventional, Fluoroscopy, and BMD exams are done by appointment. X-Rays are walk-in appointments. Details of patient prep are typically written on the back of the requisition form. Out-Patient arrives to reception desk for check-in (ideally 15 minutes early for appt.) In-Patient is brought to department by porter services at scheduled time. Co-ordinated between technologist and ward nurses. Confirm correct patient & requested procedure, patient consent to procedure. Interview has questions that are unique to requested procedure. Procedure may involve administering a form of contrast media for CT, Interventional & Fluoroscopy procedures. Will be guided into specific positions by the technologist to attain the images for the requested procedure. Time period for results to reach referring physician will vary based on In-Patient or Out-Patient. Patient’s referring physician will receive results of the procedure.
