Canada and Canadians rose to the challenge and were forever changed. Canadian women returned to factories and entered the military in large numbers. Canadian industry supported Britain until the US joined the war effort. Quebec gained a new premier pushing for provincial autonomy, but a plebiscite on conscription shook the province's unity. Major Allied leaders met in Quebec City to plan the downfall of Nazi Germany and Japan, and the new world order. **GOAL:** In this phase, you need to show an understanding of: * **A.
