Sociocultural factors help determine an individual's or populations health and wellbeing, and are considered to be anything related to the social and cultural conditions into which people are born, grow, live, work and age that work raise or lower the health status. My family impacts my health behaviours and status because whatever background they grew up on impacts me because they grew up either in a good or bad background which could affect me. Social isolation and social exclusion Social exclusion: Not participating in society. Some people exclude themselves because of gender or race, however people could get excluded by friends and family. Social isolation: not being in regular contact with others How does being socially excluded or isolated impact your health behaviours and health status? Being excluded could lead to severe mental health and withdraw from other activities Socioeconomic Status = Education + income + occupation ​ Develop essential knowledge and skills ​ Ability to get a job ​ Ability to go on and study further How do your education, income and occupation impact your health behaviours and status? Growing up and not having a great income your family gets or don’t get a great imcome you probably would find it hard to get a job. Being online and you have psycoligal Ottawa Charter for health promotion World Health Organisation (2017) The first International Conference on Health Promotion, meeting in Ottawa this 21st day of November 1986, hereby presents this CHARTER for action to achieve Health for All by the year 2000 and beyond. This conference was primarily a response to growing expectations for a new public health movement around the world. Discussions focused on the needs in industrialized countries, but took into account similar concerns in all other regions. It built on the progress made through the Declaration on Primary Health Care at Alma-Ata, the World Health Organization's Targets for Health for All document, and the recent debate at the World Health Assembly on intersectoral action for health.
