FUNCTIONAL ANATOMY OF UPPER EXTREMITY to understand the stability mechanism of the elbow complex and the possible mechanisms of injury. 3 4.1 Osteology and Arthrology of Radius & Ulna There are 3 bones involved in the elbow joint: Humerus: The bone extending (PTAU 4113) from the shoulder down to the elbow. Radius: The bone extending from the elbow towards the thumb-side of the forearm. Ulna: The second forearm bone, UNIT 4: running from the elbow to the side of the li le finger. 4 4.1 Osteology and Arthrology of Radius & Ulna ELBOW & RADIO-ULNAR JOINT Ulna Located on the medial aspect (the li le finger side) of the forearm.
