Module 3 Title of Module: Love of Wisdom This module consists of (2) lessons namely: Lesson 1: Value of General Education Subjects and Its Relation to Philosophy Lesson 2: Aspects of Development and Learning Overview The purpose of philosophy is to seek a relational perspective on all phenomena. Education is the means by which any philosopher's discoveries can be transmitted to future generations. By means of education, all philosophical thoughts are put in place. Without the help of education, philosophical principles are lifeless. Philosophy, thus, gives direction to education. This module focuses on the value of general education subjects and its relation to philosophy, the aspects of development and learning, as well as the life and values as show by Mr. Juan Y. Javier and Atty. Jesus Lorenzo Arguelles with regard to Love of Wisdom. Expected Output: Reflective Essay; Linear Narrative; Quiz; Forum Module Time Allotment (weeks or hours): 4 weeks / 12 hours LESSON 1: Value of General Education Subjects and Its Relation to Philosophy ABOUT THE LESSON: This lesson discusses how philosophy shapes education for the benefit of humanity as a whole. In this vein, it is argued that various philosophical theories have influenced and continue to influence education. In addition, philosophy has produced some of the greatest educators in history. As a result of a philosophical investigation and philosophical analysis, several concepts were elucidated. Besides this , a number of recommendations were made, such as being motivated by our worldview of social justice, promoting virtues based on the principles of freedom, equality, hard work, etc., and involving all citizens in educational management. At the end of the lesson, you can: LO1. Define the concept of Philosophy to General Education; LO2. Expound ‘what philosophy is and what philosophy can do’; and LO3. Explain the purpose and utility of philosophy and General Education subjects. LEARNING OUTPUTS/REQUIREMENTS: Video React (Reflective Essay); Quiz LESSON TIME ALLOTMENT: 2 weeks / 6 hours Address: Governor Feliciano Leviste Road, Lipa City 4217, Batangas, Philippines Telephone Numbers: +63 43 757 5277 Website: www.ub.edu.ph LEARNING ACTIVITIES: REFLECT AND SHARE “Life is not merely living but to live well and to live well requires critically examining the life we live, for indeed, an unexamined life is not worth living” ~ Socrates Philosophy and General Education Many things make the concept of education unique. Hence, there is no consensus on the etymological root of the concept. Some scholars of education contend that education is derived from “educere” which means” to lead out or to uphold”, however such disagreements over the etymological root of education disappear when attention is focused on reforms or possibilities which societies can attain through education or improvements in human affairs which education can bring about. According to Ekanem (2009): Just as in general philosophy, speculative philosophy of education seeks to establish theories of the nature of man, society and the world by which to order and interpret the conflicting data of educational research and the behavioral sciences. It is prescriptive philosophy of education which it specifies the ends and means education ought to follow. And it is analytic when it seeks to clarify the speculative and prescriptive statements. Address: Governor Feliciano Leviste Road, Lipa City 4217, Batangas, Philippines Telephone Numbers: +63 43 757 5277 Website: www.ub.edu.ph Thus, philosophy contributes in shaping education by examining the consistency and rationality of ideas it employs. It also examines such concepts as “education “discipline” “curriculum” “punishment”, to mention but a few. More so, some of the philosophical theories that have influenced and continue to influence education are as follows; idealism, Realism, Pragmatism, Existentialism etc. The several of philosophical schools of thought exist according to Ekanem (2009) to: provide the right atmosphere and proper direction for the development and growth of individual personality. Address: Governor Feliciano Leviste Road, Lipa City 4217, Batangas, Philippines Telephone Numbers: +63 43 757 5277 Website: www.ub.edu.ph From all these teachings and from these schools of thought, education would be seen as the process of developing a problem- solving habit. For them, teaching must be child-centered taking cognizance of the child’s present needs, interest, and ability. The teacher is more or less an organizer and moderator in the learning process. What Philosophy Is and What Philosophy Can Do Introducing philosophy is not an issue most philosophers would be glad doing, especially, when such an introduction is for a person without any previous acquaintance with the discipline. There are hundreds of views of what philosophy is. This accounts for the various perspectives some have chosen to view philosophy either as “conclusions” “speculative” “personal view” or “presentations” but to mention but a few. Interestingly, renowned philosophers of old hardly ever formulated definitions of philosophy in the sense demanded presently, but their activities exemplified philosophy. The intention for making the above remarks is not to scare anyone or stress the indefinable nature of philosophy, but rather to lay stress on the fact that, understanding philosophy (apart from having a definition) requires certain level of commitment or even devotion. It is instructive to note that the word philosophy comes from two Greek words “phileain” and “Sophia” meaning “to love wisdom respectively.” Philosophy, therefore, is the love of wisdom. Consistent with this meaning of philosophy a philosopher is or should be a lover of wisdom. Wisdom in this case does not imply the acquisition of facts or information for the sake of dispelling general ignorance. Address: Governor Feliciano Leviste Road, Lipa City 4217, Batangas, Philippines Telephone Numbers: +63 43 757 5277 Website: www.ub.edu.ph As the level of wisdom, philosophy is concerned with the question of the meaning of human existence and the significance of the world in which man finds him. Answers to these questions touch the more specific and general concerns of man, for Aristotle once noted “all men by nature desire to know” (Etuk et al., 2013). Elaborating further on who is wise, Etu notes: A man is wise if he is able to give counsel concerning some problems of human life, and the counsel is seen to spring from a combination of sound knowledge and wide experience (Etuk, 2013). According to him, the ability may come with years of contemplation of the human situation, and the drawing of lessons from what happens to people, societies and nations. Philosophy therefore, is an attitude of mind, a method, and an activity. As an activity of the mind, it is marked by the ability to be puzzled and to wonder at even the ordinary and common place experience of life. As a method, it teaches one how to raise the right types of questions and to look for the right answers. And as an activity of the mind, it affects the behavior outlook, reasoning speech, and even the interest of its practitioners. In the view of Udoidem in Etuk et al (2013; 13), philosophy as the love of wisdom is “the irresistible desire to search for foundation or universal principle of all things”. Philosophic wisdom therefore, is the insatiable rational quest for truth and understanding of reality in totality, as well as the application of such discoveries to the perennial problems of human existence. It begins in doubt, wonder and curiosity and manifests in the ability to consistently ponder, rethink, question, reason and reflect on the familiar and uncommon (unfamiliar) experiences of life disinterestedly and non-dogmatically. Address: Governor Feliciano Leviste Road, Lipa City 4217, Batangas, Philippines Telephone Numbers: +63 43 757 5277 Website: www.ub.edu.ph For Herman Randall in Etuk et al (2013: 13), philosophy is a human and cultural enterprise to be inquired into, rather than a mere term to be defined as: The criticism of the fundamental beliefs in any man’s great cultural enterprise, science, art, religion, the moral life, social and practical activity, when some altered experience has impinged upon them and generated intellectual tensions and maladjustment. The above definition shows that the subject matter of philosophy is extremely wide as it touches all human and non-human situations. It follows that philosophy is concerned not just with identifying problems but with a rigorous and systematic effort to understand these problems and proffer rational suggestions that can aid in their resolution. Such problem could be social, religious, moral, scientific or even non-physical. In his contribution, Harold Titus in Etuk et al (2013:14), highlighted five possible understanding of what philosophy is: Taken together, Titus’s view approximates in a significant sense what philosophy is, but quite a number of philosophers will dispute its adequacy as an absolute definition of philosophy. Apart from the above exposition. It should be noted that Socrates taught that not only is the unexamined idea not worth having, but that the unexamined life was not worth living. There is no doubt that the way one thinks and acts can affect the quality of one’s is life. Russel also link philosophy to both science and theology. Address: Governor Feliciano Leviste Road, Lipa City 4217, Batangas, Philippines Telephone Numbers: +63 43 757 5277 Website: www.ub.edu.ph In his words: All definite knowledge so I should contend belongs to science, all dogma as to what surpasses definite knowledge belongs to theology. But between theology and science, there is a no man’s land, exposed to attack from both sides; this No man’s land is philosophy. One important point to note is that irrespective of what definition a philosopher is willing to accept as adequately characterizing the discipline, Esikot (Etuk, 2013:15) has argued that every philosopher will subscribe to the view that philosophy is: Philosophy through its various branches such as logic, epistemology, axiology, and metaphysics accomplishes many of her tasks. Undisputedly, philosophy has produced some of the greatest educators that ever lived. Plato, Aristotle and Dewey to mention a few are notable philosophers whose views have had significant impact in educational development globally for centuries. In the same vein, philosophical theories have impacted greatly on education. Just like doing philosophy involves speculation, analysis and prescription, so also the effect of philosophy on education. Address: Governor Feliciano Leviste Road, Lipa City 4217, Batangas, Philippines Telephone Numbers: +63 43 757 5277 Website: www.ub.edu.ph Purpose and Utility of Philosophy and General Education Subjects For our purpose, we can say philosophy is first of all, an attitude of the mind. Secondly, it is a method. Thirdly, it is an activity. Finally, it is a product of all of the above. First, as an attitude of the mind, philosophy is characterized by the ability to be puzzled; to wonder at even the ordinary and the common place. The love of wisdom is integrally associated with the quest for truth. Truth is very high on the agenda of philosophy. That is why it asks deep and searching questions - has human life got any meaning and purpose? Philosophy is the open and tolerant attitude which shows itself in the willingness to pursue truth vigorously and having found it, to be willing to live by it and even to die for it, if necessary; For a person to develop that kind of attitude is a very good and positive thing in itself because it certainly helps to build one’s self-understanding. Secondly, philosophy is a method – a method of asking questions and looking for answer, a method of checking facts against fantasies and opinions. There are specific disciplines in philosophy that help its votaries to develop both the capacity and the skill to do critical thinking. Logic, for example is the most outstanding philosophical subject that seeks to develop skills in reasoning and in sharpening the students’ critical faculties. Once you have acquired this skill in yourself, you can no longer be easily fooled or led astray by demagogue and charlatans. What gives a person a better feeling than to be able to stand his/her ground when discussing the various problems that confront us? Address: Governor Feliciano Leviste Road, Lipa City 4217, Batangas, Philippines Telephone Numbers: +63 43 757 5277 Website: www.ub.edu.ph In the third place, philosophy is an activity of the mind with wide ranging applications. It is an activity that seeks to combine the findings arrived at by the various branches of human knowledge into some consistent worldview that we can live with. Philosophy, being a perennial quest for meaning and purpose, seeks answers to the fundamental questions of life that present themselves anew to each generation, race and culture. Broad, a British philosopher in Etu et al (2013:9), says: …The objective of speculative philosophy is to take over the results of the various sciences, to add to them the result of the religious and ethical experiences of mankind, and then to reflect upon the whole. The hope is that by this means, we may be able to reach some general conclusion as to the nature of the universe, and as to our position and prospect in it. Philosophy is the product of all the above attitude, method, and activity, all combined. Philosophy is many things to many people. There are philosophers who devote their time to clarifying the meanings of words and language as it occurs in different disciplines. Their aim is to remove a great deal of ambiguity in ordinary language. This is what philosophers call “philosophical analysis or linguistic analysis”. There are also philosophers who attempt to find solutions to man’s everyday problems in the areas of education, economics, politics, medicines and the business world. All these are on a quest to make our lives more loveable to find meaning in our existence as unique individuals and people. Address: Governor Feliciano Leviste Road, Lipa City 4217, Batangas, Philippines Telephone Numbers: +63 43 757 5277 Website: www.ub.edu.ph Philosophy has influenced the development of the society from the ancient period till date. It contributes to the quest for meaningful and authentic existence from different angles of life. This perhaps could be as a result of the fact that all other disciplines emanated from philosophy just after the industrial revolution that struck in Europe in the tail end of 19th century. Hence, it is said to be the mother of all disciplines. For example, great scientists like Aristotle, Galileo etc., were philosophers in a way. All their efforts were geared towards human existence. For meaningful and authentic existence by borrowing what are stated as the objectives of teaching philosophy at the early stages of this program: According to Etuk et al (2013:10): It is the business of philosophy to clarify and identify sources of such confusions and bringing into being the required clarity and consistency into the underlying confusions associated with these respective innovations and possible usages and thus evolve relevant ethical theories within which all can be accommodated and applied for the enhancement of humanity. Also, it is the task of philosophy and philosophers to construct and deploy the requisite ethical and logical frameworks with a view to educating and arming practitioners to confront diverse challenges that may besiege them in the course of their efforts. Thus, philosophy through education explore all aspects of the universe, breaking ground to critically engage and investigate all that affects human existence at any point in time. Address: Governor Feliciano Leviste Road, Lipa City 4217, Batangas, Philippines Telephone Numbers: +63 43 757 5277 Website: www.ub.edu.ph Philosophy and Education look at Authentic Human Existence: Technically speaking, it could be argued that philosophy of education is the application of the principles and methods of philosophy to the various fields of education. It generates an outlook, an attitude and values to the theories and practices of education, making education intelligible, meaningful and purposeful. Philosophy of education attempts to determine what kind of life a person should live, giving purpose and life to human actions or existence. As Nweke in Amaele (2019:67) asserts, philosophy of education: It is a critical analysis of the past and a search into the unknown with a view to improving the standards of education… it can be considered as a coherent set of values and fundamental assumptions used as a basis for evaluating and guiding the practice of education. Cognitive development theorists like Lev Vygotsky and Jean Piaget shed light on the ways in which children learn by constructing knowledge from their experiences, how development occurs in the context of their social relationships. In this lesson, we will look at the concept of learning and development, the five areas of development toward holistic health, and how these five areas are related to achieving wisdom. At the end of the lesson, you can: LO1. Define the concept of development and learning; LO2. Elaborate the five areas of development toward holistic health; LO3. Connect the five areas of learning to achieve wisdom; LO3. Recognize the legacy of Mr. Juan Y. Javier and Atty. Jesus Lorenzo Arguelles with regard to love of wisdom; and LO4. Apply the values exemplified by Mr. Juan Y. Javier and Atty. Jesus Lorenzo Arguelles toward attaining one’s holistic development. LEARNING OUTPUTS/REQUIREMENTS: Linear Narrative; Forum LESSON TIME ALLOTMENT: 2 weeks / 6 hours LEARNING ACTIVITIES: Observe and Reflect Take a look at the Holistic Circle. What have you noticed? Directions: 1. Each student will be sharing their observation for two minutes. They must determine which student will start first. 2. Using a timer, advise students to begin speaking. After two minutes, instruct students to switch. At this point, the other partner begins talking. It is okay for the second person to repeat some of the first person's statements. However, they are encouraged to try to come up with new information to share. 3. Have few groups share some of their responses with the entire class. Learning and Development Learning is the process of widening our knowledge. We are constantly learning new things throughout our lives, whether it is learning to walk, cycle, swim, dance, skate, climb, or even learning new concepts in various subjects or languages. Books, teachers, peers, parents, and even strangers can help us learn. Animals, inanimate objects, and nature can all teach us something. Learning is an essential component of an individual's development - it occurs at all ages, and when placed in a new situation, one learns to make sense and feel more comfortable and confident. Address: Governor Feliciano Leviste Road, Lipa City 4217, Batangas, Philippines Telephone Numbers: +63 43 757 5277 Website: www.ub.edu.ph As a result of experience, learning is a process that leads to change, which increases the potential for improved performance and future learning. An individual may undergo a change in knowledge, attitude, or behavior. People change how they perceive concepts, ideas, and/or the world as a result of learning. Hence, learning is something people do for themselves rather than something that is done to them. It is directly related to how they respond to and interpret their experiences. On the other hand, development entails the mastery of skills and the integration of these skills into behavior so that they become habits. You force someone to sit in a classroom and attempt to teach them how to fly an airplane. Yes, you can teach him the parts of an airplane and the theory behind how it operates, as well as how to fly the plane, but he cannot become a pilot unless he receives practical training and flies the plane himself in different situations. And as such, development is concerned with action and not knowledge-based skill that comes through learning. Practice is more important than learning in the process of development because it allows individuals to adopt new skills as habits. Development is a process that occurs after learning, but it requires constant practice and refinement so that newly acquired skills become behaviors or habits. Additionally, development is a bodily process that describes the expansion of our cognitive and problem-solving capacities. This development resembles the biological maturation that occurs with age and is nearly complete by the time we are young or in our teens. Address: Governor Feliciano Leviste Road, Lipa City 4217, Batangas, Philippines Telephone Numbers: +63 43 757 5277 Website: www.ub.edu.ph A Path Toward Attaining Holistic Health Holistic health is a way of life that takes into account all aspects of wellness. It encourages people to see themselves as a whole: physical, mental, emotional, social, intellectual, and spiritual. The term "holistic health" appears frequently in literature, with various connotations. Holism is derived from the Greek word holos, which means "whole." Holism is not a cult or religion; rather, it is a way of seeing the world from every angle. Holistic health takes into account the entire person—body, mind, and spirit. Therefore, holism expounds the idea that the parts of a whole can't exist or be understood without the whole. "Holism holds that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts." Most of the time, we link wellbeing to things like appearance, illness, and discomfort. However, it goes beyond that. How we treat our bodies on a daily basis, through our decisions and routines, is the foundation of our life quality and determines its trajectory toward long-term wellness. The condition of our natural surroundings is another external factor that influences our greatest wellbeing. The air we breathe, the water we drink, and the soil in which we grow our gardens all have a hand in determining how rewarding our lives are. Address: Governor Feliciano Leviste Road, Lipa City 4217, Batangas, Philippines Telephone Numbers: +63 43 757 5277 Website: www.ub.edu.ph It is a state of being in which you can manage your emotions constructively. Positive and negative emotions will enter your life regularly. However, it is necessary to take a step back in order to understand and respect our feelings, values, and attitudes without allowing them to adversely affect our days. Maintaining objectivity in our emotions as well as those of others is critical for developing positive emotional wellbeing. This attribute refers to our ability to maintain healthy relationships, form intimate connections with others, and allow others to care about you. Making contributions to your community and respecting personal boundaries are also part of it. People who have developed strong bonds with their family, friends, and community are often the happiest in life. Having an in-person connection makes us feel more connected to the rest of the world. Participating in your local community is an excellent way to maintain your well-being. Consider volunteering for a charity or participating in activities. Building relationship is only one aspect of promoting your social wellness. It is sometimes necessary to end relationships in order to prevent them from negatively impacting your functioning. Don't be afraid to distance yourself from people who bring you toxic energy or raise your stress levels. Address: Governor Feliciano Leviste Road, Lipa City 4217, Batangas, Philippines Telephone Numbers: +63 43 757 5277 Website: www.ub.edu.ph This involves our life's purpose, our guiding values, and our connections to others and the world. And it is primarily up to the individual to determine his or her own religious or spiritual wellbeing. Spirituality is essentially the intangible aspect of a person that transcends physiology and psychology. Individuals must develop their own moral code, sense of right and wrong, and values. It is also about developing one's personality and how one perceives oneself. Likewise, individuals gradually come to realize that they are responsible for their choices and the outcomes of those choices. This helps them in developing moral decision-making abilities. While our emotional development is intertwined with our mental wellbeing, our mental state refers to our cognitive functioning. A healthy mental state is more than just being free of illness. Stress and anxiety are normal parts of life; it is our ability to deal with them and use them to our advantage that distinguishes those with wellness from those who do not. Address: Governor Feliciano Leviste Road, Lipa City 4217, Batangas, Philippines Telephone Numbers: +63 43 757 5277 Website: www.ub.edu.ph These five aspects of holistic development, while all distinct, benefit from a holistic approach. Individuals should always be studied holistically because their developmental aspects influence one another. Allow each other’s opportunities to explore their surroundings. Always take into account the big picture and prioritize a person's physical, intellectual, social, emotional, and spiritual development. Moreover, we must care for each of the five dimensions of holistic health in order to reach our full potential: physical, emotional, social, spiritual, and mental development. We must constantly improve our self-awareness in order to recognize our own strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement. And we must replace destructive habits with those that will benefit our wellbeing. "With about 40% of our daily behavior repeated as habits, they shape our very existence and, ultimately, our future," according to a study of wellness dimensions "For better or worse, habits have a significant impact on health, well-being, and quality of life." In each of the five dimensions of holistic health, live your life authentically. Be the best version of yourself. You have great potential. Allow that to flow from within you, and you will reach your full potential – attaining wisdom. Address: Governor Feliciano Leviste Road, Lipa City 4217, Batangas, Philippines Telephone Numbers: +63 43 757 5277 Website: www.ub.edu.ph Life and Values as Shown by Mr. Juan Y. Javier and Atty. Jesus Lorenzo Arguelles After the liberation of Batangas from the Japanese in 1945, it was known that the Batangueños would have to find ways to rise up. Due to the war, the educational system was severely shut down at the time. And thus, there was an urgent need for the resumption of classes that had been interrupted by the war for a long period of time. It was the worst possible time for the people of Batangas to start over. Nonetheless, education must continue for the academic revitalization of the youth and to give the people hope for a better future. Mr. Juan Y. Javier, observing the condition of the community, conceived the idea of establishing an educational institution - the Western Philippine Colleges at the time. Mr. Javier was fortunate to have met Attorney Jesus Lorenzo Arguelles, as they shared a grievance against a school owner and a desire to build a school together. Due to their grievance against a school owner, Mr. Javier and Atty. Arguelles' decision to open a school may have been guided by divine intervention. One of the UB Core Values, love of wisdom, can be seen manifested in this situation. Instead of grief, these two men desired to build a school to meet the educational needs of the Batangueños. Mr. Javier spent his entire life hanging out with the underprivileged instead of the well-to- do. His compassion for the less fortunate had indeed compelled him to lead a simple lifestyle. Mr. Javier personifies our second core value, Love of Wisdom, in all its forms. Sincere and compassionate, he cares about the young children of the impoverished farmers and fishermen who cannot afford to send their kids to school. Mr. Javier often worried about the prospects for these bright young minds if they were unable to complete their education. His serious concern Address: Governor Feliciano Leviste Road, Lipa City 4217, Batangas, Philippines Telephone Numbers: +63 43 757 5277 Website: www.ub.edu.ph has prompted him to start thinking about the means of sending their children to school. It is from his love for the poor that he saw an opportunity to make our community a better place. He was inspired to provide education to these people through these poor young boys and girls. No wonder that the University of Batangas has been established! In a statement by Mrs. Lily Marlene J. Hernandez-Bohn, UB Executive Vice President, she expounded that "Verity is, at all times, crucial in the Love of Wisdom. If learners are lovers of wisdom, they should always make sure they seek the appropriate knowledge they need in the right way, not the way cheaters do. Culprits of cheating are those who do not have this love of wisdom, for they only have this love of foolishness and deception—two things which are repugnant to the academe. Setting aside the importance of the truth, the Javier granddaughter stated that if UBians want to live this specific core value—they should have a passion for education, self-improvement, and be better versions of themselves. Without practicing even one of them, living this core value is futile." Undoubtedly, love of wisdom is for personal growth and service to the community to help others—the very aim of Mr. Juan Y. Javier. Like Mr. Javier, Atty. Arguelles has a heart for the poor, as evidenced by his own small gestures such as handling pro bono cases when he learns that his client comes from a poor family. Just like Mr. Javier, he was committed to making WPC a reality. Because of his compassion for and commitment to the plight of the poor, he worked tirelessly to spread the mission and vision of the WPC throughout Batangas and beyond. Because of his unwavering dedication and commitment, Atty. Arguelles suffered a heart attack that ultimately caused his death. However, his death served as a catalyst inspiring others to take action. The WPC Community was saddened by the passing of Atty. Arguelles, but they also felt a sense of pride in the fact that WPC had finally begun fulfilling its mission to serve the youth. Out of his love for the poor and his love of wisdom, Atty. Arguelles sacrificed his life in order to give life to the poor. Address: Governor Feliciano Leviste Road, Lipa City 4217, Batangas, Philippines Telephone Numbers: +63 43 757 5277 Website: www.ub.edu.ph Dr. Victor M. Arguelles, son of Atty. Jesus Lorenzo Arguelles, pointed out that the role of the University of Batangas in fully developing the potential of human beings is to find the truth and beauty in life and others. Written in our history are the numerous tribulations that our founders faced when founding the first university in Batangas. Yet, these challenges faced by the founders inspire us, UBians, that despite constant difficulties in life, we can achieve anything we set our minds to, as long as we are determined and willing to do so. Our WPC founders, particularly Mr. Juan Y. Javier and Atty. Jesus Arguelles, instilled in us a love of wisdom as they rise and stride in establishing the then Western Philippine Colleges, now the University of Batangas, which is a successful and long-standing institution, as evidenced by the university's 76-year existence. Indeed, there is no doubt that the founders' legacy will live on in perpetuity. Performance Task: When Did Learning Begin: Sharing of Experiences in Relation to the Inner and Outer Circles of the UB Seal Create a linear narrative that relates your learning journey to the inner and outer circles of the University of Batangas Seal. In addition, at the conclusion of your narrative, write a generalization of your key insights about the relationship between the need for education and the legacies of Mr. Juan Y. Javier and Atty. Jesus Lorenzo Arguelles. (Note: Linear narratives live up to their name, meaning you could draw a straight line from the beginning to the end of a story. These narratives start the story at the beginning and tell consecutive events until the finale) REMINDERS! ✓ Post your narrative to our UBian LMS. ✓ You will graded based on a rubric.
