Everyone looking at the world, whether the believe in God or not, can agree there exists a lot of good and evil. The Bible shows us that sin started in heaven (Revelation 12:7), when an angel named Lucifer, wanted to be like God (Isaish 14:12-14). He told lies about God and was removed from heaven. (Ezekiel 28:14-16 God could not have destroyed him at that time because people would think that God was bad. This eventually because a fall -- blown war called "The Great Controversy." However, they were defeated and cast Eve willingly chose to sin. God promised to restore the universe to the point as if sin had never existed.
