## EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. S-37-17 ### ESTABLISHMENT OF GENERAL ENHANCED EMPLOYMENT TAX (LB 562) INCENTIVE COMMITTEE #### PURPOSE: The committee shall serve as a starting point for developers to submit an application for the use of a General Enhanced Employment Tax, otherwise known as LB 562, to finance certain aspects of a development project. The committee will review the application and additional requested materials that are submitted to determine the applicability of this funding source for projects. #### POLICY: It is the policy of the City of Omaha to review all applications for taxpayer incentives. To that end, this committee is commissioned by the Mayor to provide review and oversight for the use of general enhanced employment tax funds for projects. The committee shall make a recommendation to the governing body of the City of Omaha on the applicability of this funding source. #### COMMITTEE MEMBERS: The committee shall consist of five (5) members. Those members shall include a representative from the Mayor's Office, the City Attorney, the Planning Director, the Finance Director, and the Public Works Director. #### EFFECTIVE DATE: The General Enhanced Employment Tax Incentive Committee shall be effective on the signing of this Order in accordance with Section 3.17 of the Omaha Home Rule Charter. #### OVERSIGHT: The Mayor's Office will have the responsibility for oversight and support of this Committee.
