# FAP Phase 3 Analysis - On 5th, 6th, and 7th November 2024, 64 families were surveyed and followed up under the Phase 3 Family Adoption Programme. - Out of 231 individuals, 191 people are above 18 years of age, 28 people were between 6-17 years of age, and 12 were below 5 years of age. ## Standard of Living Index (SLI): - Among the 64 families surveyed, 92.1% belong to high SLI, 6.3% to medium SLI, and 1.6% to low SLI. ## Chronic Illness: - Amongst the 64 respondents, who were available at the time of the survey, 84% were aware of the risk factors associated with chronic illness, out of which 50% were aware of age being one of the risk factors for NCDs. - Amongst the 191 adults, 16 (8.3%) were diagnosed with new chronic illness in the past one year. - In the present study, the most prevalent NCD is Hypertension affecting 33.33% females and 25.49% males, followed by Diabetes mellitus, and the least being Cardiovascular diseases (1.96% both females and males). ## Hospitalization: - The most preferred source of healthcare amongst these families was Private practitioners (45%) followed by KMC hospital (35%). - There were 12 hospitalizations in the past 1 year out of which 50% received medical treatment and the other 50% received surgical treatment. - All 12 were admitted to private hospitals. - Most common source of funding was Savings (50%) followed by ESI (16.66%) and G Shankar Card (16.66%). ## Substance Abuse: - Out of 191 adults from 64 families, 28 individuals were indulged in substance use. - More common in males as compared to females. - Alcohol was the most common followed by Smokeless tobacco. ## Vital Events: - There were 4 births and 7 deaths in the last 1 year. - All of them were registered. ## General Physical Examination: - Out of the 100 individuals examined: - 8% had high Systolic pressure and 4% had high Diastolic pressure. - 12% have cataract. - Out of the 64 families, there were 6 pregnancies in the last two years and all were non-high risk pregnancies. - All of these were regularly followed up with adequate care. ## Maternal Health and Contraceptives: - All 6 deliveries were at private hospitals, out of which 50% were normal delivery and 50% underwent C-section. - Among the 15 eligible couples 66.70% used contraceptives. - 86% were aware of natural methods, 80% were aware of condoms, 66% were aware of OCP and least awareness was about injectables (40%). ## Anthropometry: - Out of 7 children who were present at the time of the survey: - Stunting was seen in 2 children (28%) according to WHO classification, 14% of children were underweight. - 5 were normal, 1 was obese (14%), and 1 was overweight (14%).
