Dried banana leaves as substrate in cultivating mushroom Hypothesis Null hypothesis:There is no difference between the growth rate of mushroom grown in dried banana leaves and in sawdust. Alternative hypothesis: Dried banana leaves is much more effective than sawdust. Variables Independent variable:The independent variable is the substrate that i will be using dried banana leaves and sawdust. Dependent variable Quantitative The number of days taken for the mushroom to colonize the substrate, size of the mushroom and number of mushroom grown Qualitative The qualitative is the color, shape, and firmness of the mushroom Experimental group Exp 1:This group will have the dried banana leaves. Exp 2:this group will have the combination both the banana leaves and sawdust. Control group Control group 1:This group will have the sawdust Constant Temperature, humidity, light, and harvesting time.
