## Parts of the Research Proposal - Proposals for quantitative research are diverse in many formats and styles. - It includes three main parts: ### The Introduction - The introduction includes an overview of the proposal, rationale of the study, a discussion of the topic, general research questions and focus of inquiry, research purpose, significance, and limitations. ### Literature Review - It should highlight trends in the literature relating to the research topic, including research areas, methodology, theoretical approaches, and findings. - In addition, information such as where the literature mainly comes from, or countries/areas it focuses on could be considered ### Research Designs and Methods - This part of the proposal provides information on the comprehensive plan, the location, and the group being studied, the methods employed in data collection, an initial conversation on approaches to analyzing the data, and the reliability of the research as well as any ethical and political problems that may occur. ## Selection of a Research Topic These are the things the researcher needs to do in selecting a research topic: - Generate ideas through brainstorming - Select a topic that facilitates the researcher in comprehending the literature - Verify that the topic is feasible and sufficient information is obtainable - Compile a record of relevant keywords - Remain adaptable - Define the topic by framing a precise research question. - Conduct extensive research and study more about the topic.
