What is a professional? – Profession is a paid occupation, especially one that involves prolonged training and a formal qualification(www.dictionary.com) – A person who participates in a particular and learned profession as a permanent/long-term career to receive financial return , exhibits a courteous, conscientious, and generally businesslike manner in the workplace, and conforms to the technical or ethical standards of a profession. – A professional student participates in a learned discipline to receive financial subsidy, exhibits a courteous, conscientious manner in university and conforms to the technical and ethical standards. On Nov 19, 2024 from 9:30 am until 10:45 am. Poster & Booklet (40%) Focus on any topic and demonstrate how psychology is relevant to the selected discipline and know the knowledge can be applied to enhance professional qualities specific to the discipline. Students are required to form groups of 5/6 members (or less than 5/6 members depending on the class size). Poster & Booklet (40%) Final submission – (CANVAS) : Nov 25 (HKT 23:59) – (hardcopy): Nov 26 (HKT 12:00) Presentation – Day 1: Nov 26 2024 (HKT) – Day 2: Dec 3 2024 (HKT) * Session 12 & 13 (Poster presentation sessions) are compulsory sessions. All students are required to attend BOTH sessions. Presentation marks will NOT be awarded to students who absent from EITHER Session 12 OR Session 13. Learning Materials Books are reserved in the CityU library. – Students are required to read these materials to deepen their understanding on the topics covered in the classes.
