As prompted, connect the stereo headphones included with the VR headset. The 3.5mm audio jack on one side of the headphones connects to the port on the left underside of the headband. 5. Pair the two VS VR2 Sense controllers (the two controllers for the VR) to the console. To do this, plug each controller into the console via the USB cables provided, starting with the right controller. Once the controller is connected via USB cable, pair the controller by pressing the PlayStation logo button. Repeat this process with the left controller. 6. Click icon to add picture Settings • You can change your headset settings at any time by pressing the PlayStation button on either controller - this will bring up the VR2 quick settings card. • Most of the main settings can be changed from here. • For more in-depth settings, scroll to the bottom of the card settings and select Other Settings. • All the VR2 settings can also be accessed from within the Settings menu. • To quickly recentre your view, press and hold the Options button. • To view your surroundings and spot nearby obstacles/people, press the Function button. Target Manager In most instances, Target Manager works exactly the same with VR as it does with non-VR titles. In some circumstances though you may be asked to check if a title causes visual fatigue or discomfort. If you need to provide media for this, it may be the case that you will want to display the view that each eye sees individually. This can be done by changing one simple setting in remote viewer. 1. Open Target Manager and connect your console. Please check the console’s How to guides for more info on Target Manager. 2. Select Remote Viewer from the Apps dropdown. 3. From within Remote Viewer, select Tap Point from the top taskbar. 4. Select Main Only. 5. Remote Viewer should change to a view where the images seen by both eyes are separated. 6. Record media as required. This does not affect the view seen inside the headset. TRC Notifications • Unlike other VR headsets, we cannot use the OVR Metrics Tool to record game performance on the PSVR2. • Instead we have to enable TRC Check Notifications to identify major performance issues. • To do this, select Debug Settings from the Home screen. • Then select System > TRC Check Notifications > change the dropdown to Enable. System messages will then pop-up in the top left corner of the screen if the frame rate drops at any point. The system message looks like this: [T-030][Info] Hmd2: Only XX flips/second for SCE_VIDEO_OUT_BUS_TYPE_HMD2_MAIN Make sure any bugs written about frame rate drops include media containing this message.
