Now they have all started at different high schools and are finding it tough. Jane finds it difficult to organise her locker. Emilio feels left out, as his best friend has gone to another school. He used to be the one that everyone looked up to but now he is just another one of the 120 Year 7 students. Connor is getting headaches and can’t see the board from the back of the room, but everyone has allocated seats. Jane feels a bit stupid but decides to talk to her mum about how to get better organised. Her tutor, PDHPE teacher and other teachers have given her a few tips too. She has found out by talking to other girls in her class that she is not the only one who is finding things challenging. The girls have decided to try and help each other. Emilio has got involved in cricket and has made some new friends and feels quite positive about the future. He still misses his old friends, but has decided to stay in contact through email and to have his friends stay over on the weekend sometimes. Connor’s life at school seems to be getting worse. His teachers keep asking him questions that he can’t answer and he is getting picked on because he is putting on weight. Connor feels life a failure. Even his old friends from primary school have turned against him. Connor tells his parents he wants to leave and go to a different school. 1.
