Balance and stability assessment 1.​ STATIC BALANCE: Romberg Test and Modified Romberg Test. Count the number of seconds the individual maintains balance, up to 30 seconds We can modified this test making it harder changing the base of support or eliminating the vision 2.​ DYNAMIC BALANCE: -​ Star Excursion Test: Distance in cm -​ Functional Reach Test: Distance in cm 1.​ Stand upright next to a wall without touching it, with the arm closest to the wall raised to 90º and fist closed 2.​ Measure the initial position of the third metacarpal. Then, ask the person to reach forward as far as possible without moving their feet 3.​ Measure the new position of the third metacarpal and calculate the distance traveled. Three trials are conducted, and the average of the last two distances is taken Results of 12 seconds indicates a higher risk of falls or mobility difficulties Practice: INTERVENTION 1.​ Individual Static Balance: 3 levels of difficulties 2.​ Individual Dynamic Balance: 3 levels of difficulties 1.​ Partner Static Balance: 3 levels of difficulties 2.​ Partner Dynamic Balance: 3 levels of difficulties 1.​ Groups Static Balance: 3 levels of difficulties 2.​ Group Dynamic Balance: 2 levels of difficulties OTHER TESTS There are 2 more static balance tests: -​ “Flamingo Balance Test” (Eurofit battery) -​ “Oseretsky Test” (Bruininks-Oseretsky Test of Motor Proficiency) There is also another dynamic balance test: -​ Ozeretski Test (Ozeretski.Guilmain battery)
