Watch: Conditions are favorable for a tornado Close & remove object from windows, move beds away from window area if possible, close drapes, follow facility policy. Warning: tornado sighted Move residents to safe area, protect resident from flying glass by turning resident in bed away from the window, cover with blanket, follow facility policies. What are the general rules of body mechanics? Using the body in an efficient and careful way Rules- use as many large muscles or groups of large muscles as possible Use both hand to pick up heavy object Keep the load between the knuckles and shoulder height whenever possible.
