NotebookLM for MKT337H Target: Time-stressed honors marketing students with several assigned readings before class Point of difference: NotebookLM generates engaging podcasts with its AI so you can listen and learn on the go Frame of reference: Other AI / LLM tools (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) Reason to believe: Pete Hayes is a daily user of NotebookLM’s podcast tool *Pete uses NotebookLM and several other AI tools, some of which are listed above. As we learned, Pete and his colleagues at Chief Outsiders do not view these tools as something to do work for you, but rather as tools to help accelerate your work. Instructions: 1. Navigate to https://notebooklm.google/ and create a free account using your Google account. *Your utexas.edu account may not work, so use a personal Gmail 2. Create a new “notebook” by uploading all of the files (in PDF format) for a given class or series of classes 3. Once you have uploaded your desired files, click the “ * Notebook guide” button in the bottom right corner, and then click the “Customize” button where you can add instructions for the podcast. 4. Click the blue “Generate” button to create the podcast (once done, it will take 3-5 minutes to generate) 5.
