GENERAL SAFETY RULES 1.Listen to or read instructions carefully before attempting to do anything. 2.Wear complete PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) goggles, lab gown, gloves, and mask  A. GENERAL SAFETY RULES 3. Never eat or drink in the lab. 4. Notify your teacher if any spill or accident occurs. A. GENERAL SAFETY RULES 5. Never fool around or play practical jokes in the lab. 6. Tie back long hair or wear hair nets and wear closed shoes. 7. Roll up loose sleeves.  A. GENERAL SAFETY RULES 8. Know the location of the fire extinguisher, fire blanket, eyewash station, and first aid kit. 9. Keep your work area uncluttered. Take to the lab station only what is necessary. A. GENERAL SAFETY RULES 10. It is suggested that you wear glasses rather than contact lenses. 11. During lab work, keep your hands away from your face. A. GENERAL SAFETY RULES 12.After handling chemicals, always wash your hands with soap and water. 13. Clean up your lab area every after the laboratory period. A. GENERAL SAFETY RULES 14. Be sure all gas jets or valves, electrical connections, and water faucets are turned off when you are through with them. B. GLASSWARE SAFETY 1. Chipped or cracked glassware should not be used. Seek for replacement. 2. Broken glassware should not be disposed of in a classroom trashcan. There is a special disposal container for it.  B. GLASSWARE SAFETY 3. Do not put glassware near the edge of the table. 4. If a piece of glassware gets broken, do not touch with bare hands. Notify the teacher. B. GLASSWARE SAFETY 6.
