Each picture comes with some information that is essential for identifying the image. I also include questions that are important to take into consideration when identifying and describing the iconography and the significance of the piece. In explaining the pieces and the context surrounding them, the more specific your information and the more specialized your terminology is, the better chance you have of getting full points. East frieze of the Altar of Pergamum (180-159 BC) How would you describe the style of the piece? Who are the major characters on the Frieze? What does the snake- legs indicate on one of the figures mean? Can you say something of the myth behind this freeze? Attic Red-Figure Skyphos, attr.
