It can do things like show pictures, play music, and solve math problems. Characteristics / Advantages of a Computer Fast: It can do things very quickly. Accurate: It makes very few mistakes. Storage: It can keep lots of information. Diligence: It can work very hard without getting tired or making mistakes Multitasking: It can do many things at once. Terms used Input: Putting data into the computer (like typing or clicking). Store: Keeping data inside the computer for later use. Retrieve: Getting stored data back when you need it. Output: Showing the result of the computer's work (like on a screen or printer). Data: Raw facts and figures (like numbers or words). Information: Useful data that the computer has processed (like a report or a picture). Disadvantages 1. Expensive: Computers can cost a lot of money. 2. Complex: They can be hard to understand and use. 3. Health Issues: Using them too much can hurt your eyes or make you sit for too long. 4. Dependence: People might rely on them too much and forget how to do things without them. 5. Security Risks: Personal information can be stolen if not protected properly.
