It's **considered the greatest sin** because it involves comparing the creator with his creations. Why is polytheism considered a terrible wrong? It involves comparing the creator (Allah) who's perfect & powerful with his creations. The comparison goes against the belief that Allah is the only one in control of harm, benefit, and everything in the universe. What are the 2 types of major polytheism? 1. Apparent polytheism: Visible acts of worship directed to idols, graves, or deceased individuals. 2. Hidden polytheism: individuals who claim Islam outwardly but inwardly worship other gods or commit acts of disbelief. What are the divisions of major polytheism? polytheism of belief: believing that someone besides Allah has control over creation, knows the unseen, or can forgive sins. polytheism of speech: calling on other than Allah for help or mocking Allah's attributes. Polytheism of deeds: preforming acts of worship ( Praying or sacrificing) for someone other than Allah. Why is polytheism the greatest sin? 1. No forgiveness: Allah doesn't forgive those who commit polytheism unless the repent. ان الله لا يشرك به 2. Contradicts creation purpose: Allah created jinn and human solely to worship him. وما خلق الجن والانس الا يعبدون 3. Wipes out good deeds: polytheism nullifies all good deeds done by the person. زالك هدي الله يهدي به 4. Many people around the world practiced polytheism some worshipped idols, while others followed distorted forms of Christianity and Judaism, also those who worshipped fire, and planets or didn't believe in any religion How did the prophet help eliminate polytheism? He guided people from darkness to light by demolishing idols, prohibiting polytheism, and blocking all ways that could lead to it, he called people to worship the one true god, Allah. Best of Allah's creations after the prophet 2. Chosen by allah to accompany the prophet 3. Had the purest hearts and deepest knowledge 4.
