Media capture and transfer • Screenshot capture • Video capture • Media transfer Device and hardware When you first receive your device, you should get the following: 1. iPhone device 2. USB lead 3. USB charging plug The USB lead will be used for both charging the device and transferring files, such as media from the iPhone to PC or application files from PC to iPhone. Tip. Always plug in your iPhone to a socket via USB charging plug to avoid battery runout. Change your language LQA - Important! It is crucial to change the language of your iPhone before you start to do anything else. It will allow you to check any system messages or welcome screens that could appear during the game installation and initialization. To change the language, go to Settings > General > Language & Region > Add Language > Select your language. Game/app installation iTunes To install builds or transfer files you need to run iTunes on your computer. 1: First of all, check if iTunes is already installed on your PC. Game/app installation App installation NOTE: Unlike on Android, you don't have to delete the previous build on iPhone. iTunes will update it automatically, which saves time in case of heavy apps. 1. Download the latest application build provided by your lead (.ipa file) and plug the iPhone into the PC’s USB port. 2. The first time you connect the device, select Trust when asked on iPhone whether to trust this computer. 3. Open iTunes. Within the phone settings (the phone icon) go to Summary > scroll down to Options > ensure Manually manage music and videos is ticked On > hit Apply. Game/app installation App installation 4: Drag the application build from your desktop or folder onto the device within iTunes: 5: Installation should now begin. Once the bar within iTunes is full, the game should be ready to play! Media capture and transfer Screenshot capture For convenient and quick screening, use the AssistiveTouch button. If you don't see it on the screen, follow the instructions below. • • • Go to Settings > Accessibility > Touch > AssistiveTouch. Make sure AssistiveTouch function is ON. In Custom Actions, Select Screenshot for Single-Tap. Screening Guide 1. Drag the button to any suitable place on the screen. 2. Tap it once to get the screenshot. 3. A thumbnail appears temporarily, ignore it (you can also tap it to open, or swipe left to dismiss, if necessary). 4. The screenshots will then be saved to Photos. Media capture and transfer Video capture Sometimes, you need to capture a video as a bug evidence or for screening a game cutscene. To do that: 1: Open Control Centre... • by swiping down from the top right-hand corner of the screen (for iPhone X and later); • by swiping up from the bottom edge of the screen (for earlier versions). 2: Tap the Record button, wait for the 3-second countdown and exit Control Centre to record your screen.​ 3: To stop recording, tap on the timer and select Stop. 4: You can find the captures in Photos. Media capture and transfer Media transfer Once you have all the screenshots and videos, transfer them to your PC. 1. Plug in your iPhone with the USB cable. 2. Go to the File Explorer, double click on Apple iPhone. 3. Go to Internal Storage > DCIM > The files are allocated based on date. Converting PNG to JPEG iPhone screenshots are PNG files, and we are required to submit JPEGs. Use Imagicon app for mass-converting PNG files to JPEG (Read the Imagicon Guide for details). Compressing video Compress video files so they are not more than 5MB each using HandBrake or a similar tool (Read other How to Guides for details).
