Information on digital mock test phonetics In this file you can see what kinds of questions you can expect on the test, how many points they will be worth and how many of them will appear on the actual test. For some questions there are additional notes to assure your correct answer will be accepted. Part 1 – Vowel to keyword - 1 point each - 5 items (worth 5 points in total) - type in your answer - not case-sensitive - make sure the word is spelled correctly Correct answer Part 2 – Keyword to vowel - 1 point each - 5 items (worth 5 points in total) - drag the blue square to the correct symbol - make sure the blue square only covers one of the symbols Correct answer Part 3 – First phoneme - 1 point each - 5 items (worth 5 points in total) - drag the blue square to the correct symbol - make sure the blue square only covers one of the symbols Correct answer Part 4 – Last phoneme - 1 point each - 5 items (worth 5 points in total) - drag the blue square to the correct symbol - make sure the blue square only covers one of the symbols Correct answer Part 5 – Vowel phoneme - 1 point each - 5 items (worth 5 points in total) - drag the blue square to the correct symbol - make sure the blue square only covers one of the symbols Correct answer Part 6 – Words in transcription - 1 point each - 5 items (worth 5 points in total) - type in your answer - not case-sensitive - slight misspellings are allowed as long as they don’t affect pronunciation (see example below the correct answer) Correct answer - in this case something like ‘heeter’ would also be acceptable, because it could only be pronounced the same way. Though it has the same pronunciation it does not fit the sentence.
